"Hindi naman lahat ng bagay aayon sa gusto mong mangyari. Hindi mo kontrolado ang mga tao sa paligid mo. The only human you can control is yourself. It is harsh and sad but unfortunately it's the truth" he said as he's wiping his spoon and fork with a tissue he got from the table. Then he looked at me then his mouth formed a small smile.

"But that's just life. Everything is full of surprises because you don't know what will happen next. That's why you just have to take the moment and enjoy" he said again as he crumpled the tissue and put it at the side. He's smiling again and I just nodded

I then looked at my plate, it is full of food And I didn't know where the food came from. But still, I lifted my utensils and I was about to dig into my food when suddenly, my plate's gone. My forehead curled up then I was startled when the spoon I'm holding suddenly vanished. I looked at him again and he's still there. I then looked at my hands and I almost knocked myself over when I saw stains of blood. And now blood. Blood is dripping from my hands. I'm not hurt. I don't have any wounds. This blood is not mine. I looked at him again and my eyes widened when I saw him, still smiling but there is a hole in his chest, in the part where his heart is. There's a hole created by a bullet. I was about to run to him when I suddenly saw a gun in my bloody hand.

What? Did I do this?! No! It can't be!

I looked at him again and he's still smiling but I felt my body trembled when I saw him holding a gun and it is pointed towards me.

"Everything is full of surprises" he said and I closed my eyes hard when I saw he's about to pull the trigger. And as he did, my world is dominated with a loud bang of the gun, then my eyes burst open.

I felt my heart beating so fast. I even have to gasp for air, hold it in for seconds, then slowly take out the air in order make my heartbeat slow. Napapikit akong muli at napa-takip ko ang kamay ko sa mata ko. Huminga muli ako nang malalim.

Calm down Zeya. It's just a dream. It's just a dream, calm down. I chanted to myself at saka ako huminga muli nang malalim. Suddenly, I heard my phone rang indicating the alarm. Inabot ko ito at saka pinatay ang alarm. Naunahan ko pa tuloy ang alarm ko dahil sa bwisit na panaginip. Nakakainis!

I groggily sat up. Napa-tingin ako sa pader ng kwarto ko nang alalahanin ko ang mukha na nasa panaginip ko. Suddenly, hindi ko na maalala ang mukha nya. When I was dreaming, everything is so clear. Yung background nya, kung anong suot nya, yung buhok nya, kung anong ginagawa nya and everything. But now that I'm trying to remember it, para bang bula nalang ito na pumutok.

I sighed.

Bumaba na ako sa kama ko at saka dumeretso sa banyo para maligo. I did my bath and took my time. After ay nagbihis na ako at nag-ayos na. I was about to put my training clothes in my bag nang maalala kong wala pala kaming training ngayon. Puspusan kasi ang Basketball team dahil first game na nila next week. Dahil don ay kakailanganin nila ang buong gym. And since na next next week pa naman ang unang game namin ay nag-give way nalang muna kami.

I looked at myself in my whole body mirror first then I went out of my room at saka nagpunta sa dining area. Naabutan ko naman ang parents ko na parehong naka-bathrobe lang. My dad is reading a newspaper while my mom is doing something on her phone. Bigla namang lumabas mula sa kusina si Manang Doray at inilagay ang plato ng hotdog sa mesa.
