Lock And Load (Chicago P.D.)

Chapter 14

I ring the doorbell to Justin's place and soon Zach and Camille answer the door. Olive is following close behind them. I say hi to Zach and give him a hug. I then turn to Camille and say, "Can you please go get your things baby girl?"

 She nods and runs off into the house. Olive then says, "Are you taking her to the station?"

 "Yes. I want her to meet everyone at work. I plan to keep her there for the rest of the day but if we do get a case I'll leave her with the desk sergeant and text you."

 "Sounds good to me."

 Camille then comes running back to the door. I help her with her coat and boots and then we say goodbye and go out to my car. I buckle her into her car seat and then start driving to the district. When we arrive I unbuckle her and then we go through the front doors. When we walk in and Platt sees me her eyes go wide. I try to walk past her but she says, "Hold up Laynie."

 I scoop Camille up, rest her on my hip, and stand in front of Platt. She looks at Camille and says, "So is she yours?"

 "Yes." 

Platt smiles at her and says, "Do you want a lollipop?"

 Camille nods so Platt grabs one, takes off the wrapper, and hands it to her. Camille immediately puts it in her mouth. Platt and I smile at each other and then we go upstairs. When we get there I grab an extra chair and put it right next to my desk. Camille finishes her sucker and then I go get her some pizza. While she starts eating I say, "Everyone, this is my daughter Camille. Camille, this is my partner Antonio Dawson." 

He smiles kindly at her so she smiles her sweet little smile back. He then says, "I promise I'll keep your Mommy safe for you."

 I smile and then say, "This is your Auntie Erin Halstead and Uncle Jay Halstead." 

She smiles at them and says, "Really?!" 

They both nod and she sits back with a huge smile on her face. I then turn to everyone else and say, "That's Kevin Atwater, Alvin Olinsky, and Adam Ruzek." 

They all say hi and then we go back to work.

Sorry it's been so long since I last updated but I just haven't had the time to do all of my fanfics, but today I finally had time! I hope you guys enjoyed the update!

So big news, my poetry book is now up! I'll be posting my poetry and probably other poetry that I really like. I hope you guys give it a read and enjoy it!

Who else is excited for Chicago Med? I'm super excited as there is nothing I love more than shows about Chicago! Plus, Jay's brother is there so that's a plus haha. Now quick question, if I were to make a Chicago Med fanfic, would you guys read it? I've already started formatting ideas and I also have a title but I'd like to know that I'm going to have readers. Of course it wouldn't be up for a couple more weeks because I need to watch a few episodes to get a good handle on the characters. It would be much appreciated if you guys could let me know!
