I smile as I walk up to the district. I walk through the main doors and then Platt says, "Laynie, good to have you back."

I thank her and I'm about to go upstairs when Sean stops me. I smile and after we share in a kiss he says, "Have a good day love. Stay safe."

I tell him I will and then make my way through the cage and up the stairs. When I arrive I see that Antonio is the only one here. I take a seat at my desk and then he says, "You know Laynie; it's good to have you back. I missed you."

I smile and say, "Oh 'Tonio, I missed you too. But I'm definitely not going anywhere."

He smiles and then says, "Oh, your Dad practically bragged to the whole group that you were engaged, so let me see your ring."

I smile and hold out my left hand. Antonio nods approvingly and then says, "Any idea when the wedding will be?"

Nodding, I reply. "Sean and I are thinking March or April. Summer weddings are overrated. We're picking a date this weekend and then sending out invitations."

Antonio has a chuckle at my summer remark and then begins to do his own thing. I turn on my own computer and then begin to sift through the paperwork that has accumulated for me over the past three months.

As everyone else arrives they all tell me how happy they are to have me back and I can't help but smile and feel loved. We all dive into some paperwork but soon Dad says, "We just got word of a woman stabbed in Lincoln Park. Everyone gear up and head there."

We all nod and go down to the rollout. We all get our vests on and then Antonio and I hop in our car and drive to the scene. When we arrive I immediately see a girl with red hair surrounded by a pool of her own blood. Antonio takes a quick picture for identification and then we set to work collecting witness statements and evidence.
