---Voight's POV---

I hear gunshots ring out from downstairs and immediately bolt out of my office. I see Antonio sitting at his desk in a wide-eyed horror, clinging to the arms of his chair. I look around the room and soon realize that Laynie's desk is empty. I turn to Antonio and yell, "'Tonio! Where's Laynie?"

He lets out a shaky breath and stutters, "She...she went down...down to the...the garage."

I curse as I run downstairs as fast as I can. When I arrive in the garage I see my baby girl surrounded by a pool of her own blood with her hands against her stomach. I bolt towards her and pick her limp body up in my arms. She groans and then her eyes flutter open. I let out a shaky breath as she says, "Daddy..."

I hold her close to my chest and say, "I'm here sweet heart, I'm here."

She moans and then says in a very hoarse voice, "Tell Sean and..."

Her voice begins to fade out so I say, "Don't think like that baby girl, you'll pull through this. You can't die Laynie. I can't lose my baby girl too."

She draws in a shaky breath and whispers, "Tell Sean and Camille that I love them."

I pull her even closer to me and whisper, "Baby girl, you'll be alright. You're a fighter and you'll pull through this. Please baby girl."

She weakly grabs one of my hands and says in a small voice, "I love you Daddy. I always will."

Her eyes then flutter closed, her grip on me weakens, and her head rolls to the side. I feel tears well up in my eyes but then I realize that her chest is still moving up and down with her small, shallow breaths. I blink away the tears and then turn to my unit and say, "Erin, go and find Sean and bring him down here. Antonio, radio in an ambulance. Jay, come and put pressure on Laynie's wounds."

They all nod and do as they were told. I then turn to the rest of the group and say, "Al, go and call Justin. Ruzek, call Olive and tell her that she'll have to look after Camille until someone can come and get her. Make sure that you tell her why and that if she needs anything, she can call me. Mouse and Atwater, go check the security cameras out back to see if they caught anything."

They all nod and go to complete their respective jobs. A few seconds later Roman comes bursting down the stairs and kneels next to Laynie. I see tears pour down his face as he picks up her limp hand and holds it against his cheek.

Less than a minute later an ambulance pulls up to the garage door. They get Laynie loaded up quickly and then I send Roman with her. I watch the ambulance speed away and once it's no longer visible I turn back around to face my unit. I point at the pool of Laynie's blood on the concreate floor and say, "Do whatever you have to do to catch the bastard that did this to my daughter. This son of a bitch is going to pay."

Everyone nods and then leaves to begin gathering Intel.
