-Sean, Laynie, and Ella drop Camille off at school
-They then go to Sean's doctor's appointment where they'll find out news about his shoulder
-When they get into a room and the doctor arrives the look on his face isn't good so they can tell it'll be bad news
-Laynie squeezes Sean's hand tighter as the doctor says that his shoulder is too damaged and it won't be able to heal anymore so he can't return to work as an active-duty officer
-Sean is devastated; after they leave the doctor he goes to the district and hands in his resignation papers that he hoped he wouldn't need
-When they get back home Laynie tries to comfort Sean but he isolated himself downstairs in the spare bedroom
