I take a deep breath as I put the last pin in my hair, completing my curly updo with the small section of my bangs braided. I then look over at Erin doing Camille's hair and can't help but smile. March 14th has finally come after eight months of waiting and I could not be more excited to marry the love of my life and start our life together as a family. Sean is everything I had ever hoped I'd have in my life partner and I know Mom would've absolutely adored him which means the world to me.

I'm brought back to reality when Camille gently pulls on the sleeve of my bathrobe and says, "Mama, Auntie Erin and Kim putting on their dresses. I put on mine?"

I smile and say, "Of course sweetie. Come with Mama."

She nods happily and takes my hand. I then lead her over the chair that her dress is draped on. I help her slip on the navy blue dress and then tie up the ribbon on the back. By then Erin and Kim have finished changing so they send me to change into my dress. When I exit the change room everyone compliments me on my looks and then Erin says, "He is going to be blown away. He'll feel so lucky he chose you."

I smile at Erin's kind words and then Dad enters the room and says, "The men are about to enter the cathedral. Is everyone ready?"

I nod and then turn to Camille and say, "Do you remember what to do monkey?"

She nods and says, "I walk before you and Grandpa. Then we sit together in chairs and watch the happy!"

I smile and tell her she's right. Erin, Kim, and I all grab our bouquets and then go out to the doors of the cathedral. Erin and Kim have soon walked down the aisle, followed shortly by Camille. Once she's reached the alter the doors of the cathedral open and Dad and I begin our walk down the aisle. I look up to see tears slowly streaming down Sean's cheeks as he takes in my appearance. I smile a soft smile at him and before I know it Dad is passing me off to Sean and taking a seat with Camille.

Sean and I join hands and then the minister begins the ceremony. We go through our vows and then the minister says, "Laynie and Sean have written brief vows of their own that they wish to share. Laynie, if you will."

I nod and Erin hands me my small sheet of paper. I unfold it and then say, "Sean, you have given me so much and shown me so much love. Because of you I am a better person, mother, daughter, and detective. I hope that over the years I can be the best wife I can be for you and return even half of the love you have given to me. I love you with all my heart and can't wait to start our forever."

Sean wipes away a few tears that have escaped from his eyes and spilled onto his cheeks and then pulls out his vows. He clears his throat and says, "Laynie, you are the love of my life. You are the missing half that made me whole and today I ask you to be my wife, my partner, and my strength for the rest of our lives. I promise our life together will be filled with laughter and love, and we will share that joy with those we hold close. I will be loyal to you, I will love and adore you, I will help you achieve your dreams, and I will help you pursue your heart's desires. I will laugh and cry with you. I will always strive to bring out the best in you and always see the best in you. For you I will be the best possible version of myself every single day. I love you."

I wipe my tears away and then we exchange rings. After this the minister smiles at us and says, "I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Roman. You may kiss the bride."

I smile at Sean as he smashes his lips to mine in our first kiss as husband and wife. When we pull apart we make our way down the steps leading to the alter where Sean scoops Camille up in his strong arms. She giggles as we make our way back up the aisle as a family, unable to keep the smiles off of our faces.
