Lock And Load (Chicago P.D.)

Chapter 30

          I smile at Roman as I roll over to face him. He kisses the tip of my nose and then pulls me into his arms. As I begin to draw shapes on his bare chest he says in his husky morning voice, "It's our six month anniversary today."

I smile and say, "You're right. I can't believe that it's only been six months."

"Me either. I feel like it's been forever. It's like we were made for each other, you know?"

I nod and then our bedroom door opens. When Camille sees that we're both awake she says, "Oh good! You two sleepyheads awake. Breakfast up in minute!"

With that she leaves. I look at Roman in confusion but he juts shrugs. As promised, a minute later Steve comes up holding a breakfast tray with Camille right behind him. He sets the tray down on the bed by Roman and then says, "Happy anniversary you two! I'll be taking Camille today so that you two can have the day to yourselves. Hangout, go for dinner, have fun, whatever you guys want to do."

I sit there speechless for a moment and then say, "Thank you Steve, but how'd you know?"

He chuckles and says, "Roman asked me for a hand. He said that he wanted to make this day special for you."

I nod and then Steve takes Camille downstairs. I look up at Sean and he says, "I really just wanted to make today a day about you and me. I want to show you how much you truly mean to me."

I smile at him and say, "How'd I get so lucky to find you?"

We share a kiss and then he says, "Believe me when I tell you that I'm the lucky one."

I smile at him and then we dig into our breakfast. Once we've finished eating it Roman takes our tray downstairs while I hop in the shower. A few minutes later I hear the shower door open and I soon feel Sean's arms wrap around my waist.
