Lock And Load (Chicago P.D.)

Chapter 27

          I quickly get Camille changed into her swimsuit and then put mine on. Once we're both ready I grab our towels and go to meet Steve and Roman. Once we've all joined up we go and find a patch of grass in the sun. I lay out the blanket I brought and then Camille says, "I want to go slide!"

I nod and say, "We will Monkey but first you need sunblock."

She nods so I quickly get her all taken care of. I start putting some on myself and when all I have left is my back Roman says, "Let me help you babe."

I nod and hand the bottle to him. The second his hand begins to rub circles in my back I relax. When he finishes we share a quick kiss and then I grab Camille's hand and say, "Which slide do you want to go on?"

She points at the one closest to us so the four of us head towards it. When we reach the top we see that it's racing run with three different slides. Steve volunteers to take Camille so I agree and she goes with him. We all choose a slide and then the light turns green. I race as fast as I can and go shooting out of the bottom after speeding through the twists and turns. Roman has beaten me down so he quickly takes me into his arms and says, "I missed you."

"I missed you too. I didn't know I could miss someone that much."

He smiles as we share a quick kiss. As we break apart Steve and Camille come shooting out of their waterslide. Camille is insistent that we go to our next slide so Roman and I join hands while Steve picks Camille up. We then go to the next waterslide, grab tubes for the run, and head up.
