-A couple of hours later Laynie feels someone shake her shoulder
-Wakes up to see Dr. Rhodes standing above her
-He says that Sean is out of surgery and should be waking up in the next hour; the surgery went well and they were able to get the bullets out and stop the bleeders
-Laynie thanks him and follows him to Sean's room
-After waiting for an hour Sean wakes up; relief washes over him when he sees that Laynie is there
-She asks how he's feeling as she moves to sit on his bed
-He says he's in quite a bit of pain but that he's thankful he's alive because when it happened he wasn't sure if he'd ever see his girls again
-Laynie can't hold back her tears any longer and begins to cry when Sean says this
-With his good arm Sean pulls Laynie into his chest and begins to whisper comforting words into her ear as he holds her as tight as he can
