Lock And Load (Chicago P.D.)

Chapter 19

    An hour later we get a report from some patrolmen over at the 26th District about something we should go check out. We all suit up and head out. When we arrive Dad tells Antonio and I to head inside while everyone else canvases the area. When we arrive inside an officer walks up to us and says, "We have the homeowner in the living room. She is refusing to leave until she talks to you guys." 

We nod and follow him to the living room where we see a girl recovering from a scare on the couch. Antonio and I sit across from her and then I say, "Can you tell us what happened?" 

She nods and says, "I had a collage party here at my place last night with the science department students. I thought it all went great but then this morning I went to my bathroom and thought I smelt traces of dihydrogen monosulfide tetraoxide..." 

Antonio pauses her for a moment and says, "What is that exactly?" 

The woman chuckles and says, "Sulfuric Acid. My apologies,but I am a major in chemistry. Regardless, I thought I smelt sulfuric acid which is deadly to humans and not something I want in my apartment. My shower curtain was closed so I pulled it back and when I did I saw someone sitting there in sulfuric acid. I freaked and called the cops."

 We nod and I say, "Thank you. You've been extremely helpful." 

She nods and then we exit the house. While I share with Dad what we've learned Antonio calls the coroner's office so they can come and get the body before it becomes unidentifiable.
