In almost any horror related book or movie, there is always this one cliche that is used by almost everyone. If you think it is a jump-scare or so type of creepy doll, that is not the case. It is the fact that almost always, one person survives the slaughter and everyone else is doomed to be eliminated by the killer. My question to this cliche is why only let one person survive? Letting a good chunk of the cast live is fine, as long as the story is still full of enough scares for the audience to enjoy.
