Alright, how many times has the cliche plot idea of boys versus girls been explored? If your answer was various times, I am not surprised. For some reason, writers really love to use these plots, usually as a cheap way to reach deadlines. Also, with this cliche plot comes another problem. That problem is that the odds are not equal for both sides, and the girls usually win. Not only does letting the girls win predictable as heck, but it makes this plot even more cliche. This is all coming from a girl, who has seen this plot-line be used way too many times over on various shows. I'm all for gender equality, but not gender superiority. Why don't the writers let the boys win once in a while, or better yet tie the game to reinforce the idea of gender equality?
