Well, here is a cliche that always seems to pop up almost everywhere. Apparently robots in the future are all designed to be remorseless killing machines, who will either enslave or destroy mankind. It expresses the common human fear that technology is getting too advanced and that it will eventually lead to humanity's doom. However, that isn't entirely true. Although humans are getting close to creating computers with faster processing than the human brain, they are far from creating artificial intelligence with emotions and trains of thought. Besides, the robots that do exist today are programmed only to help humans and do not have some type of fail switch that will suddenly turn them evil. Really, why can't there be more stories where robots are actually good and help humanity instead of destroy it?
