Last time I checked in school, the popular kids were the people you wanted to avoid. Not only are most of them jerks, but they are constant rule breakers and quite vain. They make fun of those who aren't attractive like themselves, and usually don't much going for them after high school. Why would anyone want to become popular? I find this cliche quite baffling, as from my experiences in high school, the popular kids are not a crowd to be around. It is better just to have a nice amount of friends and to be a nice person, even if you aren't super popular. It pays off in the end, as I can say for myself. I'm considered a geek in high school, and I really don't care about the title. What matters is that I'm happy with who I am and that I will always have lasting friends even when school ends.
