When I mean a non-traditional werewolf, I mean shape shifters that for some reason are always given the title of a werewolf. Sure, it is pretty cool idea for someone to shift into a wolf, but it has been overdone. Now when people think of werewolves, all they think about are people that can just shift into wolves. They don't think about the humanoid wolf-man creatures that dominate the nights of the full moon. I'd really love to see a day where someone decides to go back to the traditional idea, in order to make this cliche and weird misunderstanding die out. Not only would it be extremely original, but I bet a lot of people would love the change in ideas.
