Ever since the movie Freaky Friday has been released, people have been overusing the idea of body swapping. They think that it is a simple story to pull off, and that the concept will draw in more viewers for their work. However, this cliche isn't easy at all. The most important part of a body swap story is to show how two people are forced to walk in each other's shoes for a time. As easy as it sounds, you have to remember that now you have the challenge of not only altering these characters perspectives, but also making it convincing. So many times over, body swap stories fall right in their faces due to ignoring this task, usually very horribly. That is not mentioning making the other characters' reactions to the switch, secret or no secret, convincing and having to keep the same voices in the same bodies (cartoon creators switches the voices to "make things easier" for the audience to understand). A story like this is hard to pull off and is most of the time created for filler because these stories are in high demand. The only way you can truly make these stories right is to convince the audience of what is going on in a simplistic manner. That way, you'll not only stand out, but the story will be more popular for the effort taken to make it good.
