"Ven! How was your weekend?" Lucy approached me first thing in the morning. I was an early bird on a Monday and she was the second to arrive.

"Okay lang naman. Yours?" Balik tanong ko dito. Lumapad ang ngiti niya and I saw how her cheeks reddened.

Nagtaka ako kung bakit siya nagblush.

"I'm..." Naputol iyon nang may masiglang bumati sa amin.

"Good morning girls!" Nakakarinding boses ni Jean ang narinig namin.  Goodness! Parang chipmunk! Argh!!! Then it was followed by her laugh that sounds like a hyena! Ang sarap niyang pagsarhan ng pinto straight in the face! Of all people bakit siya pa ang pangatlong dumating? I wouldn't mind if she won't arrive at all forever!

I smiled fakely and pretended to be checking my bag only to wince and grimace or any facial expression that shows dislike! If anyone can see me now they'd probably think I ate something bad for breakfast!

Naririnig ko nang nagbabatian ang dalawa.

"I heard you and Yohan went out on a date last Saturday?" I heard na mapanuyang tanong ni Lucy kay Jean. I closed my eyes tightly. Do I wanna hear this? Yes. Okay! I can handle this. I've imagined the worse anyway.

Impit na tumili ang dalawa and again I made a face. "Then? What happened? Come on!" Excited na pagpapakuwento ni Lucy.

"Ven! Pakinggan mo to! Jean's going to spill some deets on her date with Yohan." Kalabit nito sa akin saka umupo sa upuan na nasa tabi ko and looked up at Jean. I was forced to look at them and join.

"So? How bad was it?" I asked.

Yeah, you've prepared well Venny! At being bitter and showing it! My mind mocked me.

"Hey, it wasn't that bad in fact it was awesome! I enjoyed it." Sabi naman agad ni Jean. Tsk! Edi ikaw na nag-enjoy. Why don't you ask me how my Saturday went? You'd pity me for it! Muntik ko na siyang irapan. Buti at nakapagpigil pa ako.

"Where did he brought you?" Tanong ulit ni Lucy. Ngumiti ng malapad si Jean. I hate it when she smiles because it reminds me of why she's so great and why I should envy her.

"Well, we went to the mall..."

"How cheap of Yohan!" Hindi ko napigilang magkomento. I bit my lip. She just laughed.

"Hindi, I don't see it that way. We did the typical mall date and it was fun!" Nakangiti pa rin nitong sabi.

Weh! Plastic! Sinong matutuwa sa cliche? She can't fool me! Ako ngang hindi pa nayaya makipagdate sa mall ever ay nagsasawa na, siya pa kaya?! Go on. Lokohin mo sarili mo, Jean! Che!

"What did you do? Nag-arcade din kayo? Or movies? It was really fun and surprisingly romantic, right?" Sabi naman ni Lucy. What?! Romantic in what way?

Arcade? Seriously? Ano kayo mga bata?! And movies? What's nakakakilig with that unless romance ang papanoorin pwede pa! Pero I doubt na manonood nun si Yohan. He likes sci-fi/action movies and hates chick flicks!

I tilted my head to stop my train of thoughts cause I can almost taste the bitterness of it all. Ha! My mind's laughing at myself right now. And it's annoying.

"Yes! Surprisingly...dunno. Alam niyo yun? It's like those things are a whole lot different things when I was with him?" Nangingiting sabi ni Jean! Holy! I think I'm gonna puke! It was cheesy...and disgusting!

Tumili si Lucy sa tuwa. Oh my gosh! When will these two shut the shit up?! They have no idea how they are ruining my day!

"Jean, just a warning...Yohan is a playboy. I hope you can handle that fact. And I wish he won't hurt you like how I've seen him hurt other girls." Paalala ko dito or more like pananakot. Lol! Okay. I am desperate here. Duh!
