Chapters 19

(Louis POV)

6 days have passed since Bella has left. We Skype everyday to talk. Tomorrow is her birthday. I've planned something special. I'm going to fly out to California to surprise her! She has no idea. Then we'll fly back to England. Not Doncaster, she's staying far away from her Gran. I'm going to ask her to live with me! I have my own house in London now. It's right next to Harry, Niall, Zayn and Perrie, Liam and Danielle live about a block away. My flight is in exactly 6 hours. I'll surprise her on her birthday, which by the time I get there, it will be. I got a bag together with a couple things. I packed the diamond necklace, smiling to myself and thinking of my beautiful girlfriend.

*12 hours later*

It's Bella's birthday!! I made it to her town in Cali. I am so close to her house. I hope she'll be happy to see me. I walked up to the house, the necklace it my pocket, and flowers in my hand. I breathed in and out trying to calm down. I rang the doorbell shaking. I heard footsteps. I gulped.

"I got it mum!" I heard her call inside. I smiled. The door opened. Her eyes opened wide and she gasped.

"Louis!!!" She yelled.

"Hey babe!!" I yelled back smiling. She looked at me so shockingly like I was a ghost.

"Oh my god!!!" She squealed.

"What are you doing here?" She asked still smiling. I handed her the flowers.

"What kind of boyfriend would I be if I missed your birthday?" I said. She ran into me. I wrapped my arms around her. Then she kissed me. I swear there were fireworks! Our kiss lasted for about a minute until...

"Hahmm" a cough sounded.

"Oh mum! Look Louis surprised me for my birthday!" Bella said.

Her mum examined me for a moment.

"Hello I'm Bella's mum" she said. She didn't seem happy.

"Hi I'm Louis" I said. She asked me some questions until she said.

"So, no birthday present for Bella?"

"MUM!" Bella yelled staring her down.

"Actually yes!" I said. I got the box out of my pocket.

"Bella I love you so much! Happy birthday!" I said. I opened the box. She gasped

"Oh my god Louis! It's beautiful!" She squealed. I took the necklace out of the box. Then I unlatched it and wrapped it around her neck. The diamonds sparkled in the sun.

"L.T?" Her mum asked.

"It's my initials: Louis Tomlinson" I explained. Bella turned around and kissed me quickly.

"Oh Bella" her mum began. "Brad called, he wants to meet you at the park."

Brad? As in ex boyfriend brad? Oh hell no!

"What? Mum why? I don't want to! Louis is my boyfriend" Bella said.

"He just wants to talk" her mum replied. Bella looked really scared. I'm guessing her mum doesn't know what brad did to her when she was 16.

"Louis your coming with me" Bella said.

"Ok babe" I said. I took her hand. Her mum sighed.

"I'm only talking to him for a minute" Bella insisted. We walked towards the park hand in hand. She started to shake.

"I'm scared Lou" Bella said.

"I won't let anything happen to you" I said squeezing her hand. Bella led me to a bench. We sat there for 5 min just talking.

"Bella" someone said behind us. We turned around. A black haired boy in a hoodie stood there.

"Hi brad" Bella whispered. She held my hand tightly.

"So this is your boyband boyfriend, huh?" Brad said.

"Yes" she replied.

"What's your name?" He asked me.

"Louis" I replied.

"So your british?" He asked. I nodded.

"Ok so anyway, Bella I know u have a boyfriend, would you like to go to dinner with me?" He asked. Are you kidding me?

"Brad do you realize what you did to her?" I said standing up.

"Excuse me?!?" Brad yelled.

"Why on earth would she go to dinner with someone who abused her?" I yelled stepping closer to him.

"Louis sit down" Bella whispered. I ignored her. Brad looked to Bella.

"YOU TOLD HIM?!?" He yelled. Bella whimpered.

"Leave her out of this" I yelled defending her. Then he threw a punch. I ducked in time.

Bella didn't.
