"Are you excited?" Ellie asked, staring in the mirror at me as she put finishing touches to my hair. I had it down for the ceremony, but it still needed to be brushed and done nicely.
"I'm actually very calm." I said, smiling into the mirror and she laughed softly.
"Really? I'd be petrified." She pulled one strand out and brushed it before setting it back and taking a seat next to me as I finished my makeup.
"Why is that?" I asked, looking to her.
"I'd be afraid he would be bail or get cold feet or something would happen." Ellie was always never good at being positive when it came to relationships, always overthinking and thinking the worst could always happen.
"I mean, I can understand that. But I don't feel that." I finished my mascara before grabbing my heels, slipping one foot after the other.
"Can I ask how?" She looked intently at me and I smiled softly before looking back down at my shoes.
"Because I've been waiting for this day forever El. After everything me and Julian have gone through, I know I love him and I know he loves me, so I'm not worried he will bail, because I know him. Getting married doesn't mean you finally know you love each other, it's just a ceremony to really declare it to the world, we already know we love each other." She sighed before looking into the mirror to fix her own hair.
