~*Jacks POV*~
After we finish our snack break, I start getting antsy. Just wnating to find Violet and find a sfae place for us all.
"So, are we ready then?" Bob asks as he slings the bag over his shoulder and stands from the log. I nod glancing at Mark and Wade for their answers. They both nod at Bob and we begin walking once more. We reach a town at the edge of the forest. I glance at all the trees for any sign that Violet was here, but don't find any.
"I don't see any sign of her." I say, checking every tree once again, making sure that I'm correct.
"We need a place to stay. Its getting late and we need a place to stay anyways." Wade says, his eyes scanning the town cautiously.
"True, we can get supplies and have shelter for the night." Bob agrees. I nod, knowing that they are right, but the hard one to convince will be Mark. I look over my shoulder to see Mark who is darting his eyes around the town hopefully. His eyes then land on me and a sigh escapes him.
"What's wrong?" I ask, turning the rest of my body to face him.
"Nothing. We need more supplies. Can I go on a run? I'll be around the town." Mark informs us, his eyes wandering extremely. Bob shrugs and then nods.
"Sure. Find us before sunset." Bob tells Mark with a certain sterness in his voice.
"Okay. See ya." He says as he walks past us and starts walking to different buildings. Mark finally walks into a big supermarket, but stops before he enters and smiles. I tilt my head to the side I'm confusion.
"What is it?" I call to him. I hear Mark mumble a response I don't understand. I take a few steps closer to him to be able to hear better.
"Sorry, I didn't hear. What is it?" I restate my question. Mark turns his head to me with a smile on his face.
"Look for yourself." He says taking a step away from the door. I walk to view what he had seen and instantly realize. Violet had been here, she has a certain way that she opens doors and that is it. I let my emotions effect my emotions and quickly jump into the building. My eyes scan the building, through all the isles and counters, but don't see her anywhere.
"Violet!" I call. The name echoes through the empty building. I walk around the area looking for any other sign she was here and find only a few. I see a few dead Eaters and vomit next to one of them. That's strange, Violet had never been the type to vomit in that way. Maybe she is with someone else? It wouldn't surprise me. I walk around the store a little more and find a sign of life on the ground. I approach a small box with the contenta on the ground. I look down at it and instantly realize what it is. A pregnancy test. I find the test laying on the ground and realize the symbol inside tells that it is positive. I gasp and step back from the scene in shock. Maybe she is with someone indeed, someone who is pregnant. I look up to see Mark on the other end of the isle making his way towards the box and test.
"Its a pregnancy test. And its positive." I inform him as he examines the test on the ground. Marks eyes widen at my statement in realization at what I had said. He processes the information and sighs heavily.
"We really need to find her now." Mark says under his breath.
"It can't be hers, it would be too soon if it was with whoever she's with. And she wasn't with me or you." I state the truth. Marks eyes lock with mine and a shaky breath comes out of his mouth.
"What?" I ask in confusion. Mark shakes his head and puts on a fake smile I see through immediately.
"Nothing. Its probably from whoever she's with." Mark states, changing the subject.
"Probably?" I question his choice do words in confusion.
"Yeah, we don't know what she does 24/7." Mark says letting out another shaky breath. I tilt my head, knowing that he is hiding something from me. I sigh at my thoughts running through my head.
"W-what are you implying?" I ask, my nerves becoming on edge. Mark shakes his head and his eyes dart away from me.
"That she could've..." Mark trails off before he can explain a thing. My eyes widen in realization in what he means.
"Its yours isn't it?" I ask, my voice stern and emotionless. Marks eyes dart so he strares into mine in horror.
"I-I-I... Jack, I know we shoulve told you, but y-you don't understand. W-we thought we were going to die. Please just t-try to-" I cut off Mark.
"I understand completely. She didn't want to hurt me and now she is alone, in the middle of nowhere with your kid and... And..." I trail off as tears begin to prick my eyes. Tears fall from my eyes. Tears of pain and regret fall down my cheeks. I spin around on my heal away from Mark and start towards the exit.
"Jack! Wait, you don't understand." Mark whimpers after me.
"I just... I can't see you right now. I need some air." I say as I get outside an d the sun burns at my pale skin. Bob and Wade look at me in confusion and worry and exchange looks.
"What happened?" They ask me, following after me. I step lightly and quickly, but Wade and Bob follow on my heals.
"Ask Mark. He'll probably be proud to tell you." I hiss at them angrily. I grab a baseball bat out of my backpack and begin to swing it with all my might at a pile of rubble nearby. I just need to hit something to let out my anger right now. I smash a few pieces of cardboard and a few parts of an old, beaten car. I smash my bat into the windshield and break the glass instantly. I change my direction and loud the bat into the headlights and see the glass break with a loud shatter. I hop atop the car and pound my bat into the roof causing a small dent to appear. I repeat this motion until I feel the bat bend at the front. I then fling the bat far away from me with my right arm. I then fall to my knees on the roof of the car and let tears pour from my eyes. I breath in and out heavily as I continue to cry. I hear someone tap on the windshield lightly. I turn my face to see Bob standing in front of the car.
"I was mad, I'm fine now. I just need a minute." I tell Bob burrying my face in my hands and sobbing weakly into my palms.
"Its okay buddy. I'm here for ya." I hear Bob climb on top of the car and sit next to me. He begins to slowly rub my back soothingly.
"I'm not mad that she did it. I'm just mad that they didn't tell me, neither of them did." I sob to Bob quietly.
"I know, I had no idea either. I'm not exactly happy with Mark about that right now either." Bob says angrily. I wipe tears from my eyes and try to stops them somewhat.
"I promise you, I know that feeling." I say trying to put on my regular smile. Bob nods at my statement and takes his hand off of my back and places it on the car to balance himself.
"Mark doesn't make the best choices sometimes, but I'm sure he is sorry for this one. I'm sure you guys can work it out soon enough." Bob says with a sigh.
"I sure hope so." I respond.
