Banished

~*6 Days Until The Wedding*~
~*Violets POV*~

I walk along the street, heading back to my home. I had spent all day with the guys yesterday, and it was nice to hang out with them again. However, early today my com went off and Shane called me to go home. So now I walk down the sidewalk, holding my stomach for balance. I hear people whisper about me when I pass them, I suppose I am a known figure around here. Whenever I'm out in public I feel eyes on me, people just staring at me as I walk. It's unnerving to say the least, that so many eyes have come to watch me in my daily life.
"Well, I didn't think it would be this easy..." Someone says with a small chuckle. I recognize the voice, although that doesn't mean much, I know a lot of people I this town. I ignore the comment and continue walking toward the mansion at the end of this block.
"Dear, I wish to speak with you." Someone says in that same voice. I roll my eyes and turn around to see him. I gasp and take a step back away from him.
"No... You can't be here... You can't be real..." I mumble in shock, taking more steps away from him.
"Oh, but I am. You see, my brother, Shane, told me that he wouldn't give you to me... So I came to take you instead." Carter says with another chuckle.
"Get away from me you freak!" I shout as I turn away from him and then continue down the sidewalk at a much faster pace than before. I'm not going to even listen to what he has to say, he's probably just my imagination. I'm not going with him, I'm just going to get home and see what Shane wanted.
"You can't run away from me dear, not anymore." Carter says as he grabs my arm and spins me around to face him. I grab a small button out of my pocket and just a glance makes me remember what Shane had said.

"Only use this for emergencies, just press it and I'll get your location and I'll be there in about 5 minutes. I'll also have a team and weapons. So, please, only emergencies." Shane says.

I press the button as hard as I can with my thumb. A bright red light shines on the device and a loud squeak rings through the town. Most people cover their ears, but I don't and neither does Carter.
"What did you do brat?" He snaps at me angrily. I pull my arm away from his grasp and spit on his face as a response. Not even one minute passes and I hear the loud pounding of combat boots on the sidewalk.
"Get away from her Carter!" I hear Shane's booming voice shout from behind me. Carter glares at me in annoyance and backs away from me slowly with his hands up in a type of surrender. Soon Shane stands next to me with his hand on my shoulder.
"Are you okay?" He questions me sweetly.
"Yeah... Just don't ever let this man get near me again. He kidnapped me once, I'm not letting it happen again." I say coldly as I glare at Carter. Shane stares at him with almost the same look I have.
"I told you to leave Carter, I told you that she isn't going with you. So, now brother, I banish you from all 18 districts and give you a life beyond all walls." Shane paused, taking in a deep breath. "Goodbye Carter. Take him away and send a team to all districts to tell them of his banishment." Shane says as he turns around, taking me with him, and starts walking with me. His arm lies on my shoulders and helps me with my bad balance.
"What? Shane! Shane! You can't do this to me, you're sentencing me to death with this!" Carter screams in horror.
"My wife lived beyond the wall and she is still alive. You've brought this on yourself brother, so get out of my compound, and don't come back here or you truly will be dead." Shane says, glancing back at him while he speaks.
"But I'm your brother! Your only living blood, don't do this Shane! If you do, you'll have a lot more coming to you! This is a big mistake, people respect me and there are a lot of plans if I die! Just know that they'll be coming for you, both of you! They'll-"
"Don't threaten me." Shane shouts, letting go of me as he stomps towards him. Shane lifts his hand, slapping Carter across the face. "You don't ever get to threaten me, even if you are my damn brother!" Shane shouts, slapping him again.
"I'm just warning you of what you're doing here Shane, it's a mistake!" Carter yells.
"Don't you tell me what to do, don't you dare tell me what to do! I won't take it, not from you, not from anyone! I fought my way to the top little brother, and I brought you with me. But, now, it's changed you Carter. And, you've changed so much, that I don't know if you're even my brother anymore." Shane says coldly. He stares at Carter, looking into his icey eyes. "Take him away, I don't ever want to see this man again. And if I do... Well, you know the rest." Shane adds as he turns away from him and walks back to me. He wraps his arm around my waist and we walk together back home.

Hey guys, sorry for the short chapter, but a lot happened. Anyways, what do you think of the real Shane? I thought it would be interesting because he always seems like only a business man, but that's not all he is as you've seen now. Anyways, I'll see you all later and I hope you have a great day!
