I wake up and hear the sound of Jacks voice while I still lay in his arms, not moved an inch. I keep my eyes closed to rest them and listen to what Jack is saying.
"She needs sleep. I'm glad she finally did." Mark says quietly.
"Yeah, she told me why she hasn't slept in so long. I don't blame you, she is amazing." Jack confesses.
"Jack, we thought we were going to die, it was to keep our own sanity. She really loves you though." Mark says with a sigh. I guess he thinks I've already decided, but that would be a lie.
"She cares about you too. The way she looks and talks to you, I'm not sure who she loves more." Jack sighs as he rubs my arm lightly and comfortingly.
"Its you. She didn't sleep for weeks when we were trapped, but she falls asleep in your arms. Not a coincidence, she feels safe with you, which is good." Mark says in a hushed voice, trying not to wake me.
"Yeah. I think she's still scared. Her nerves on edge, she's been more violent and more active for everyone in the group." Jack whispers with a sigh.
"She's adjusting back into a normal life, from every day waking up and just trying to survive. She was terrified and the only way she calmed herself down was overworking and not being alone. She hates being alone, even if she doesn't admit it." Mark explains. I never thought about that, I've been alone so often in my life, but I'm never truly alone. I always have Kate and Lily whispering in my head.
"I think that's true. I think when she's alone the voices in her head start to speak, she doesn't seem to like them very much." Jack says softly.
"Yeah, she says that she hates Kate. The other one is fine." Mark adds.
"I think she has a bit of scitophrenia, it isn't healthy for her to respond, or pay any attention to the voices. She does good not responding most if the time, but ignoring can be hard when things are in your head." Jack explains quietly.
"I guess so. How long has she been sleeping?" Mark asks.
"Few hours. Not nearly long enough for her lack of sleep." Jack explains as he moves a strand of my hair to the side.
"Let her sleep. I can watch if you wanna." Mark offers.
"You haven't slept either Mark. You can sleep. I'll watch." Jack corrects him with a chuckle.
"Fine. Wake me if anything happens." Mark laughs lightly. I decide to make myself more comfortable on Jacks shoulder. I keep my eyes closed and fall asleep once more.

I wake up and see Jack looking down at me. I rub my eyes and sit up sleepily.
"Sleep good?" Jack questions with a soft smile.
"Yeah, how long was I asleep?" I ask with a yawn. Jack shrugs,
"Maybe 5 hours. You should sleep more. You need it." Jack chuckles.
"I'm not tired." I say with a laugh. Jack laughs brightly.
"Okay. Has anyone ever told you that you're adorable when you're sleepy?" Jack asks as he puts a strand of hair behind my ear.
"No, but I didn't think I could look adorable when there is a zombie apocalypse outside the door." I smile lightly.
"Well, you are." Jack laughs as he pokes my nose with his finger. I lean further onto Jacks shoulder and slip my hand into Jacks, holding it firmly.
"I told Mark... What you told me, I told him that I knew what happened and that I wasn't mad at him. He told me that you loved me more than him. Is that true?" Jack asks quietly. I can't decide between them, let alone so quickly or right now in front of Jack. I sigh and try to think fast. I'm gonna be honest. I have to be.
"I don't know. I love you, I really do. But... I can't deny that I care about Mark too..." I trail off and avoid Jacks eyes.
"I'll give you time to tell me, I think we both know that you have to choose one of us. I'll give you some time to think, just be sure to tell me when you know." Jack winks with a smile spread across his face.
"You'll be the first." I say quietly.

*Time skip*

Our group and the stranger, Felix, walk along the road towards a new town to scavenge and explore. When we arrive I instantly see a mistake. Eaters cover the ground, swarming a few people atop a van in the distance.
"Should we help them?" Wade asks sounding concerned for the other survivers.
"We don't see people very often, they could help." Mark says.
"Or have supplies." Bob adds as he moves his broken glasses in position on his face. I pull out my crossbow, making sure its loaded and ready to fire. The others all get their weapons and follow me to the van. I shoot a few Eaters in the head, making them collapse instantly. The survivers spot us and begin waving their arms for help. The rest of the group shoots the Eaters and stabs them roughly to kill their brains. Once all of them have been killed the survivers jump off the van and stand in front of us.
"T-thank you." One of them stammers. He has a British accent and dirty blonde hair.
"No problem. What's your names?" I ask extending my hand for them to shake.
"I'm Aaron, that's Tyler. He's kinda quiet." The British one says shaking my hand lightly.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Violet." I say as I shake both their hands for a simple greeting.
"We lost our weapons and all of our supplies running from them." Aaron explains, examining the rest of our group.
"Help is always wanted. You both are welcome to come with us. My name's Jack by the way." Jack says as he walks next to me in a protective manner.
"Thank you, we really appreciate it. May we have a weapon? A knife or something? We will need to protect ourselves just in case of a Zombie coming." Aaron explains eyeing the bag I have wrapped around my shoulder.
"We call 'em Eaters, but yeah." Jack pauses and looks toward me. "Can I get two of our extra knives for them?" Jack asks me, looking strait into my eyes. I nod and grab two decent sized knives out of the bag, handing them to Jack. He hands one to each of them, they both thank us. We all walk around the town, with Jack staying by my side and Mark right behind me. We look through different buildings for supplies in groups. Jack and I go together, with Mark and Tyler going together, Bob and Aaron and Wade is with Felix. Jack and I walk into an old gas station and start looking through the shelves for supplies. While I look, I suddenly hear Jack chuckle to himself. I look up at him in confusion.
"What is it?" I ask with a smile.
"You totally took charge back there, it's different, but it's a good different." Jack grins widely.
"I don't know, I just felt like we needed to meet them and I was closest to them." I explain.
"That's what I'm saying, you were in front of us all. Its interesting." Jack chuckles.
"Sorry, I just... Have a lot on my mind." I trail off, focusing back on Jack afterwards.
"I'm not complaining, you're strong. I'm glad you show it now." Jack smiles sweetly.
"I'm far from strong. I am terrified all the time. I just want people to think I'm strong and can handle things, even though I can't very well." I explain, looking directly in Jacks bright blue eyes.
"Hey, its okay. Come here." Jack says as I begin to approach him. He opens his arms for me and I go into them lovingly.
"You don't need to be scared. I'll always keep you safe, no matter what I have to do." Jack whispers as he plants a kiss on my forehead.
"I love you." I whisper softly.
"I love you too."
Jack and I release from our embrace and continue looking around the building for supplies. I find a few items and shove them into my bag. Jack meets me at the door and we walk back to the center of town where we decided to meet the others. I see Bob, Aaron, Mark and Tyler standing there making small talk. Jack and I join the group and join their conversation almost immediately.
"I noticed that girl was the only girl in the group. I'm guessing she's taken by one of you." Aaron says as I walk towards them.
"What makes you say that?" I chuckle as I lean on a nearby car. Aaron blushes and laughs nervously.
"Just a guess. Tons of guys and one girl, seems like someone would take interest. Especially because its a zombie apocalypse, how many women can really be left? You're the first I've seen since it started." Aaron informs me with a stupid smirk on his face. I roll my eyes at his comments.
"Are you being sexist?" I chuckle to him.
"No, I'm just saying that I haven't seen any other girls. There must not be many left. That's all I was saying." Aaron defends himself, putting his hands in the air lightly. "But am I right? About you being taken I mean." Aaron clarifies. I look at Jack and then glance at Mark.
"I guess you could say that." I laugh and pause for a moment. "How old do you think I am?" I question, grinning widely.
"20, maybe 21." He answers, sounding unsure. I laugh hard at that one.
"I was 16 when this started, I assume I'm about 17." I manage to say between laughs.
"Oh, you don't look it." He says simply. We all talk about different things, getting to know the new people a little better until Wade and Felix get back.
"I told you we were meeting back here!" Felix shouts angrily.
"How was I supposed to know?" Wade growls back.
"Because I told you three times that we should come here." Felix mumbles under his breath.
"Are we ready to start moving again?" Mark asks, glancing at everyone in the group.
