Ryan's POV
He saw how amazing she was a performer. He understood why the venue was sold out. Everyone screamed the lyrics along with her. She danced on stage. She was amazing. He couldn't see why anyone would cheat or leave her. He practically adored her.
She was going to perform one last song, she said. It sounded like everyone knew the song before it even started. She got closer to the crowd.
" I'm sorry but I fell in love tonight," she sang.
Halsey's POV
She ran off stage. Ryan followed her back to her dressing room.
" You were fucking amazing, Hals," he chuckled. He opened his arms for a hug, but she backed away.
" I'm sweaty right now. I'm gonna take a shower when we get back to the apartment," she said. He nodded and followed her out the dressing room. She suddenly stopped in her tracks. " Shit. Totally forgot. I have an after-party. But, I really don't want to go. I want to go home," she pouted.
" Performers never have to go to the after-parties. It's your choice. Let's just go," he said.
She shrugged it off and left the venue. Ryan drove in his own car, so Halsey drove alone. She hasn't performed in forever. She felt like all her problems disappeared while she was on stage. She knew how to truly connect with her fans. She knew what it was like to be a fan. She loved them so much. She never wanted the show to end.
When she arrived at her house, she parked her car in the parking garage of the apartment complex. Ryan parked in the guest parking. They met up in her apartment.
" I'm going to take a shower now. Make yourself at home," she told him. She grabbed her towel and took a shower. While showering, she imagined the show. She tried to remember all of those happy faces. She tried to remember what it sounded like when the crowd sang her lyrics with her. She knew why people never wanted to leave the music business. She hoped she'd get to play more shows so she'd forget her problems for a little while.
When she got out of the shower, she went to her room to change. She wore her pajama shorts and a tank top. Ryan wasn't in the living room anymore. Probably getting dressed, she thought. She turned on the TV and went to the kitchen. Normally Josh would cook. Great, now all the meals from now on are going to suck, she thought. She grabbed Beef Ramen noodles from the cabinet and started squeezing the bag.
She saw Ryan appear from one of the rooms. He wore a black shirt with loose sweats. He smiled at her from the distance. She waved. " What you making there, Blue?" He asked. She held up the partly crushed ramen noodle bag. " You making me some too, right?" She nodded.
She set her bag down on the counter and grabbed another bag. But instead of crushing it for him, she threw it at the back of his head. He turned around and glared. She shrugged and smiled. " It wasn't me. I swear," she held her hands up in surrender.
He chuckled. " Yeah, whatever, Blue. I'll make it myself."
" No no no no, I was just playing around. Let me make it for you. You are the guest in my trashy apartment, you know. Here, give it." She walked over to him. He handed her the bag and she walked back to the kitchen. He sat down on the couch. " So what did you think about the show? See how..electrifying and magical it can be?"
" It was amazing. You are amazing. I'm probably gonna go to every show you have from now on. The fans...oh my God. They were insane. They knew the lyrics to every song you sang. I..I honestly could've had that if I joined Brendon's band. But, he's a dick," he replied. " I wish I can be on stage with you."
