"In life it doesn't really matter if you're the taller person, because there will always be someone shorter to give you a lesson."

In my case that short guy is my current husband.

I was quite the sassy for a girl and definetely had the guts to kick a boy in the dick, but all that I actually did was keep quiet whenever someone is to hurt me or insult me. I wasn't from the brave kind, though you could say I was from the confident ones.

I was nerdy, I should admit. Never once was my nose out of a book. And I was pretty antisocial.

I was tall, yes, and sometimes that actually won me respect without having me to do anything, but in reality I was weak.

Weaker than anyone could imagine. I lived alone after my parents divorsed and my mother died in a car crash. My father asked me if I wanted him to take me in, but I just said that having financial support from him would be more than enough.

After that he bought me an apartment and I started living there, visiting him from time to time and calling him to assure him I was okay on a daily basis.

I was in high school, my junior year had just started and everything seemed alright... for now that is.

On my first day one boy and his group thought it would be super funny to prank me - the nerd in the school.

As I was walking through the halls a heard a big hassle in one of the rooms, but ignored it and continued to read from my book. As I was turning the corner I bumped into a boy. The boy.

He quickly apologized and asked me if I had any work after school, but as I said no, he asked me if I could meet him at the main hall. I just nodded and passed by him, not actually being in the mood for some bullshit.

Later that day I actually did went to the main hall and what I saw was terrible. There were students everywhere. And I meant more than usual. The boy was in the middle of the space and I went towards him with one questioning brow lifted up.

"(Y/N) (L/N), would you be my girlfriend?" The boy asked loud enough for everyone to hear. I must admit I was shocked to hear that shit, but I rejected him anyway. There was even bigger crowd of students by now, because why not? We were providing them pure entertainment.

I knew it was a prank. I heard the girls gossip about it earlier in the bathroom, but as the circumstances were I had to reject him enough times until we get out of school ground and then he stopped me once again and asked me.

"If I accept will you fucking shut up and leave me alone?" I asked a little annoyed by the boy's attention and acts. He nodded furiously and I just sighed, accepting his offer.

No one actually expected the outturn of this. I actually came to think of him as my real boyfriend, while he for real fell for me. He was popular all among the school and everyone knew him.

His friends were angry when they got the idea that he failed to prank me and actually fell low enough to date me for real. We didn't do much with him. He neither took my first kiss or my virginity, he just took me out on dates and we aside from that we acted like best friends.

We were always together and helped each other, but I with my sassy attitute didn't felt happy with the situation. The abusing people were giving me became even bigger, but I was finaly able to have a friend and that was all worth the insults and pain.

But as his friend really didn't like the idea of us being together decided to corner me after school and teach me a lesson.

I can't say it didn't hurt, because I'd be lying and I can't say I was the bravest of them all, because I'd be lying again, but I can proudly state that as much as they insulted or punched me I didn't actually say anything. I was silent, gritting my teeth the whole time, thinking they would just go away. But that wasn't the case.
