Levi x Reader ~ Lazy Mornings {Modern AU!}

The sun shone brightly in your eyes and made your eyelids flutter open onto to be met with the mesmerizing sight of your boyfriend. In short - raven hair sprawled all over the white pillow and his forehead, long eyelashes touching lilac crescents under his eyes, muscular pale arms dug underneath the puffy pillow and bare shoulder blades heaved up and down along with the rest of his back in indication of the breaths he took. But in even shorter - beautiful.

You chased the grogginess away from your droopy eyes, realizing it was probably quite late, but you couldn't care less - you were pretty much aware it was a weekend day - and so you had the full rights to lie in bed for as long as you wanted. Your muscles felt numb but refreshed and ready to start your morning routine so you slowly made sure to prop yourself on your elbows and lift the bedcovers from your half-naked form before sitting on the edge of the bed and voicing out a big yawn, while stretching out your limbs.

In the next moment you felt an arm wrapping itself around your waist while you tried to get up. With a sigh, knowing Levi's antics, you lay back down and faced the raven haired man as his eyes fluttered open and he looked at you with those half-lidded smoky hues. No question is needed as to where you were going, because you were no longer going to get there. Levi's arm is wrapped tightly but gently around your waist so he's sure you wouldn't leave his side and you flash him a small smile while he lifts his head up to look at the clock above your form that stood onto the nightstand on your side of the bed.

His eyes narrowed and he breathed out through his nose in dissatisfaction, lying back down and looking at you waiting for you to say something. But he was met only with silence and your soft lips when you pecked his mouth as a morning greeting. Kissing back, Levi pulled you closer to his body and your hands gently stood on his naked torso while you grinned into the small kiss. Parting and looking at each other's eyes, you both knew it was time for a lazy day. Levi wouldn't clean, you wouldn't cook or do laundry, you'd both have some rest from work and maybe even do something together. You'd spend the day off in pijamas, eating ordered food - preferably Chinese - while watching some stupid movie or having a chat. 

But before that you didn't plan on getting out of bed for the next half an hour. Your hands wrapped around Levi's torso, bringing you closer to him and pecking his lips again, feeling him exhale through his nose before he kissed back and initiated the kiss to intensify. However, both of you being just woken up and very drowsy, neither fought for domination once your mouths opened and you ended up just giving small pecks to the other's lips. You could smell Levi's breath as he sighed through his mouth and you suddenly wondered how could it always smell like peppermint and tea while yours was probably smelling like something had died in your mouth just a few seconds ago. Then there came the question how could Levi actually kiss you so early into waking up without having you wash your teeth beforehand? Most probably he was so lazy he didn't even care of how your breath smelled despite his usual habits and OCD. 

You looked into his eyes, your own narrowing as he raised an eyebrow and you yawned again before setting your eyes on the window behind his back, facing towards the sky - frankly enough because you lived on the eighth floor of the building and there was nothing else to be witnessed from such height - and the small clouds that danced around the sun into the baby blue background. A sigh left your own lips before you spun around, still feeling your boyfriend's arms restraining you from doing any kind of movement as to leave his side, and took your phone from the nightstand, unlocking the screen not even minding the vividness of it since it was bright enough in the bedroom already. You took a look around the social media before going for your number of contacts, seeing as you had missed a call from Hanji and Mikasa. Your eyes narrowed at the screen for the supposed meaning behind their calls, because they'd called you quite early even for a Saturday morning and you'd be surprised if you've actually forgotten something important. 

Levi brought you out of your trance when his hand tugged at your waist, demanding you turned around and faced him once again. As you did, you still held your phone in hands, not minding the slight glare your boyfriend was giving you. When you asked Levi if something important was happening today he just furrowed his eyebrows and shrugged slightly - an indication of the facts that he both didn't know and didn't care - sighing and falling on his back, now his chiseled chest was fully revealed from underneath the pristine sheets on your bed. You lay onto his shoulder silently, thinking of what may be so important as to Hanji to call you early in the morning. You missed the call anyways, but maybe it was an emergency. Or maybe it wasn't. You didn't know what to do, but honestly you were sure at least that you weren't calling her back right now. 

Having Levi hold you while just resting together in bed was better than you could have imagined after a hard week full of work and you didn't want to ruin it by jumping into actions even if it was noon by now. You turned on your side and Levi looked at you, humming in a questioning tone as you only snorted and propped yourself on your elbow, gently brushing off small strands of his hair away from his eyes and forehead. You did notice his hair was getting longer, maybe it was time for a haircut since it started getting in his eyes and maybe it could become problematic at his work. You smiled at the thought of Levi being his usual stubborn self and giving quite the fight before finally giving in to your persuation and going to the hairdresser. The raven narrowed his eyes at your smile, on his way to ask what was so funny to make you smile like that, but you cut him off before he could do it with a kiss on his forehead. 

He was stunned, having noticed this morning both of you were so soppy, neither cared that you could overdose with the affection you were giving each other. Levi usually hated showing affection in public, but behind closed doors you knew best of all he was more than romantic and ever so corny when it came to it. In fact, he was a real sucker for cuddling and fully well knowing that you made yourself comfortable on his pillow, resting your head above his and making his eyebrows furrow in an unsaid question before he actually felt your legs drape over his abdomen, your hands playing with his raven locks, running their fingers through them as your ears enjoyed the sigh of content that left his lips a second later. He turned around, burying his face in the crook of your neck and exhaling slowly while wrapping his muscular arms around you. 

"First shitty thing you do after we get up is wash your teeth." 

He stated in a groggy voice - dare you say the best thing in the world - the words being ever so slightly muffled due to your skin absorbing the vibrations of his voice and you chuckled with a nod, continuing to play with his hair as he placed butterfly kisses along the line of your neck and collarbones. You returned the gesture by placing chaste kisses on the top of his head inbetween running your fingers through it. You didn't pay that much attention to his sentence, because you knew that was just his way of saying he loved you without using the common phrase everyone else did. What was best about Levi was that he had a variety of phrases he could use to tell you he loved you - all different from one another but consisting of the same meaning anyway. With a smile on your face, enjoying your time with your precious boyfriend you wished for those rare moment to cease being a rarity. But being rare is what made them truly valuable to both of you.

All in all however, lazy mornings were the best in your personal opinion.
