"Erwin, I don't get why I must do it. You can send over anyone really, they possibly won't fail." The woman complained to her boss in his cabinet.

The room was silent for a few short and tense, awaiting seconds in which the female stared at the massive man behind the desk with expectation in her shining eyes, making him sigh almost inaudibly, then close his eyes to inhale and get a few moments to sort out his thoughts in his next statement, determined to make her, even if forcefully to do the job and take the case. The vanilla folder she had witnessed on his desk, in front of his propped elbows on the wooden surface had been bugging her since the moment she entered the room, making her even more serious towards whatever the reason she was called over in his office. The untouched cup of coffee Erwin had at the corner of his desk no longer held steam above it's dark surface and he knew the mud he loved and needed ever so much was now cold just as his stare was once he opened his eyes and looked right at hers.

"(Y/N), I've told you millions of times over the many years, it's your job. That man's dangerous and as an agent yourself, your duty is to fullfill the given orders and at least stop him, if not capture or kill him." The blond haired man, Erwin as said, looked over at his collague and in the same time underling with determination, cold and stoic, just like his own face could show on the sharp features.

The woman sustained herself from slamming her hands on the desk in front of her with irritation, so instead she just squeezed them together in her lap and took a deep breath, ready to object her boss.

"But, don't you get it, Erwin? He's been messing with my own missions since I entered the organization. I know he's special and dangerous, but Dok seems to have gotten an interest in him, just as much as Kanny did before he was murdered. That man isn't just someone and if he really wants to steal that flashdrive, then he'll do it and even I won't be able to do anything. You know that better than anyone."

The woman calmed down ever so slightly, the anger and stubbornness in her nature and voice lowering in tone, being replaced with just as cold and determinated ones the man behind the desk in front of her had.

"We must stop him however, so despite your own decisions on the topic, you're taking the case and I want you back with the flashdrive, the man if possible in hadcuffs and your life here after exactly four months." The blond pushed over the vanilla folder that stood on his desk towards her and observed the (h/c) haired's fa e for any signs of incoming tantrum.

However, he couldn't find any as her features stood calm, collected and frozen on the spot of her stoic expression, making him suspicious towards her next move. Her hand, slowly but surely reached out for the folder, not daring to open it, just simply grasp it in her palm, then stand up abrubtly and nod coldly.

"Fine." Her voice cut in the heavy silence after a second of motionless from both sides and when he nodded back to her, she turned around and waited for his words.

"Dismissed. You're taking the case over from Monday."

With that she left the office, closing the door behind herself as calmly as possible, then clenching her fingers, forming a fist as she walked back to her desk, plopping down on her chair and then with a slight hiss opened her palm up to witness the small bright red crescents in her skin. With a glare towards her hand, she opened the folder up, totally ignoring the pain in her palm, then unlocked her computer and started searching out the information mentioned at the file.

"You think someone will be dumb enough to think I'm a student?" (Y/N) spun around in front of the window in her own room, making Petra giggle behind her with a determined nod.
