Levi x Reader ~ Valentine's Day

It was just so easy to sit down and don't do anything for the rest of the day while lovey-dovey couples kissed and expressed affection all over the place. Maybe you should've stayed in the HQ after all. But no, your desire for fresh air and a pleasant walk overpowered the logic and here you were now, on a bench in town, looking as men held out plushies or sweet treats or romantic presents for their significant other.

In all honesty, you felt envious of them all, more like of the girls, not because you wanted affection, but because you wanted to be awknowledged by the one you held special feelings for. And currently he was probably off being a dick, hating the holiday you ever so eagerly hoped to spend with him. 

All in all, you weren't dating, heck you haven't even confessed yet, but you did hope somewhere deep that even without saying he would at least know you were there and were trying to help him. Apparently it wasn't quite like that. This here was no fairy tale and he was no mind reader, so you guessed that he was just as oblivious towards your existence as he was to the stack of papers on his desk, still waiting to be done from the last three weeks.

He was not yours to claim, yet you felt jealous when other women tried to seduce him. Yes, it almost never worked, but you still felt a pang in your heart telling you to go and hiss at them to fuck off of your man. Because why not after all?

Continuing your self-pitying session as you sat on the bench, while staring at the couples around you, you looked up meeting a pair of familiar eyes, when you heard your name being called out.

"Oh, hello, Ymir, Krista. What are you doing here?" 

"Came to finally buy her a thing." Ymir said and held Krista's hand, making the petite girl blush and then avert her eyes to the side.

"I'm happy for you. Good luck, Ymir." You wished as they passed you and waved back, making you smile and then slump down the back of the bench again, with a loud groan escaping your lips. Why the fuck couldn't you just say that you liked him and date him already? Ugh. No, it was just as impossible as it was getting Hanji to take a bath in the middle of an experiment.

Yet, the dreams and hopes you had were ever so sweet, making your mood lighten as you were all alone around so many couples. Yes, your dreams could save you sometimes. Then you heard your surname being angrily called from someone. Brushing it off and closing your eyes to continue with your imagination with the man of your dreams you heard the voice get even closer and even angrier.

"(L/N), the fuck you're spacing out about?!" Speak of the devil. In your eye range an ebony mop of hair entered, making you open your eyes just slightly, looking at your superior upside down as your head was hanging from the end of the bench, with his arms crossed in front of his chest and his usual frown, making it look like he was smiling instead from your line of vision.

"I was just dreaming about something, sir." You said lazily, dropping your eyes closed again and resting your arms on both sides of the bench.

"Get your ass back into the HQ right now." Your superior spat coldly as you just sighed.

"No." You cut off just as coldly as he did.

"No?" He echoed and you nodded.

"I have a damn day off today of all times and even if I have to look at people sucking faces all over the place, I'm gonna spend it enjoying my time and being lazy." You stated and heard him definetely snort at that.

"I'm still your superior, you shit. You have to follor my orders." He said and you just shrugged in the slightest.

"Make me then."

"What if I give you something in return?" He questioned and now that made you pop an eye open, staring at him up and down, making sure this person in front of your was indeed your corporal, because if he was himself he would never ever offer anything in return to anyone, of course if it isn't some shit the person himself has to pick up from the street.
