I walked down the street after my shift at the bar I worked at ended and now I was currently going home.

I lived in Trost with my parents, but then mother got ill and months later passed away. After her death my dad felt depressed and gloomy all the time, but I had made him swear that he won't try to commit a suicide. Later on I moved out and started living in the city of Sina, but I was still new and found this bar in which I work even til now.

I moved out when I was 21, right after I graduated university and there has been three years since then. I've heard many things about the neighborhood I moved in, but non actually have I witnessed myself. I always dismissed the mothers or old ladies talking about how dangerous everything was when it was dark.

I didn't understand them. The weather was always good, the people around were good as well, everyone was kind and helpfull, though there were a lot people gossipping. In other words - totally normal neighborhood.

But their fear was actually a logical thing. I was gonna understand that the hard way.

As I walked down the street I looked around suspiciously. It was already dark, because I have helped Jean clean up in the bar and it may have took more time than I actually expected.

In fact, I was just a little frightened from the dark. Things happened when I was a kid and the only thing I can say is that it was totally my father's fault and now I'm just here, trembling in fear if something may happen to me.

Of course, I was a realist, but that didn't mean I didn't had knowledge upon the chances of something happening for real.

The air was cold, the whole place around looked a whole lot different when it was dark. More scary. Creepier than usual. Like I was in a completely different neighborhood.

Then I heard laughing from distance.

There were a few silhouettes of men walking my way and by the incoherent way they were communicating I immediately understood they were drunk. Drunk men were no good. I knew that very well.

To avoid encountering them I quickly turned the corner and entered one dark alley before they could see me. I pressed against the wall of the alley and kept my breath, waiting for them to pass me and walk away. That way I was going to continue my way home in peace and arrive there a few times faster, that was for sure.

I heard their incoherent words and loud laugher pass by me and walk away, slowly but surely fading in the opposite direction of where I was headed to.

I stepped out of the alley, but then a hand grabbed my upper arm and pulled me back. I shrieked from the sudden surprise and fear, but the man pinned me to the wall and put his hand over my mouth to shush me.

I prayed that at least someone may have heard me, but this thing was no good. From group of drunkards to a repist. Just great. But right now I had no time for mental sarcasm as I was scared out of my skin by this man.

He talked slowly and as if I was some lost kitten. He called me names, whispered in my ear and touched me in different places through my clothes. I was on the verge of crying. There was no one to save me right now.

When he detached his hand from my mouth I was ready to scream, but he said he'll use his knife and showed it to me, then quickly pressed it against my troat. I squirmed slightly and tried to do some kind of noise, but he hushed me and started talking slowly and touching me again, giving me the urge to vomit.

I didn't want this to happen. Maybe I should've trusted what the people said all the time.

I gulped as the tears already steamed down my cheeks as I heard something sharp being dragged on the wall near me from the opposite direction of the exit towards the steet. I couldn't turn around, even if I wanted to, but the man harassing me did and his eyes widened.
