Tired!Levi x Depressed!Reader ~ Sweet Dreams

He did notice how tired you were recently. It was as if life was slowly draining away from you body and all that was left was a mere shell of the girl you used to be.

He hated seeing you this way. 

How you would always avoid meeting his gaze and almost immediately run away from him to follow his orders before he could even dismiss you properly. 

How you would occassionally skip meals and rare go out of your room with the exception when you were too hungry or couldn't sleep or had trainings. 

Though he was more than sure that you couldn't sleep anyway. 

He noticed everything.

Your movements were becoming slower and your answers were cut short with a raspy voice and tired stoic face.

Your eyes were red almost all the time and were slowly loosing their lively shine.

The dark circles under them would grow more with every day he saw you and your body would become even more skinny and fragile.

You wouldn't smile anymore and you wouldn't talk to almost anybody, what stays for talking lively and with happiness like you used to do before. 

You were no longer the same girl.

That stupid thing drained the life out of you.

You were now a copy of a living corpse.

All of this because of a single boy.

You had a boyfriend. Eren Jaeger. He knew and still didn't say anything for the sake of the relationship of the one he loves truly. He saw you were happy with the brown haired titan-shifter.

He saw how you smiled. He heard how you laughed. He could literally feel happiness radiating off of you.

But that was before. 

Before your oh, so precious boyfriend cheated on you. Before he betrayed you. Before he broke up with you and before you lost your most dear friend. 

From then on you were just becoming more of the corpse you were right now. 

And it pained him to look at you the way you were.

He wished you could smile like you did before even if it wasn't going to be for him. He wanted to hear your cheerfull laugher fill the mess hall and see your lively (e/c) eyes glancing at his direction once again. He just wanted things the way they were. 

"Levi, are you gonna go and see her? She's on your squad after all, you have to at least check on her." Hanji said standing next to him, making him exit from the daze he was in and look her way before clicking his tongue. 

Without answering her he placed his already empty cup of tea down on the table and got up from his chair, making the wood screech against the floor of the room.

Most gazes of the cadets turned towards him, curious to his sudden movements as he glared back at the majority of them. 

The short male locked gazes with one specific emerald eyed boy before he announced: "Jaeger, Kirstein, you're on stable duty for the week. I want you to report at my office after you're done for the day and if you haven't done well enough to fit my standarts I'll instruct you furthermore about what you'll be cleaning in the upcoming month." 

Yes, he was harsh with them and they knew exactly why. Or at least had an idea in mind. 

As the raven threw one last glare at Eren, he walked over to the doors and slammed them shut after exiting the mess hall, the thick silence staying awkwardly in the room for a few more seconds before the chatter and laugher reappered and everything continued on like normally.
