It was cold, that for sure you knew. Heavy warm coat on, hands in your pockets, scarf around your neck, hair let down to flow to your shoulders, you walked towards the building in the freezing weather.

Seeing a couple watching each other and exchanging passionate little pecks you could only guess they were newly wed. With a sigh and a small smile, you continue walking ahead.

"Come over and help me, damnit." You called to your friend, Levi, who keeping his disinterested scowl walked over to your side and crouched next to you, helping you move out the big stone and then open the wooden lid of the basement of your house.

"Don't tell me you really want to go down there." Levi's nose scrunched up as you beamed with happiness and excitement almost not even noticing his disgust over the dark, dust covered place you call a basement.

"Of course. I'm telling you, we'll find so many cool stuff! Now, come on Levi!" And you grabbed his hand tightly, not giving him time to object your request as you dragged him down the staircase and into the dark room.

"It's so fucking dirty in here." Levi suppressed the sneeze going up his nose only to hear a giggle from your side as you lit up the lamp in the room and started looking around. For a middle schooler he did admit you were very energetic.

"Come here, Levi. I think I found something." You ushered him closer and with a roll of his eyes, he went by your side crouching down and looking at the thing you held in hand. "What do you think it is?" You asked and he flicked your forehead.

"It's obviously a snow globe, (Y/N)."

"It's pretty."You said eyes staring at the snow globe as if you hadn't seen one your whole life as Levi stared at you instead. "Isn't it pretty, Levi?" You turned to him with beaming eyes, shining with happiness, making his features go soft as he threw the smallest of all smiles.

"Yeah, it's beautiful."

"Come on, you promised you'd actually sit down." You ushered Levi next to you and smiled at him as he growled with displease at the sand, grabbing a stick and starting to doodle something on the sand as you stared off into the ocean horizon.

"I know ocean isn't your favourite place, but thanks for coming anyway." You stated and he huffed.

"I was forced, you know."

"It's never a good thing to lose a bet against me, after all." You chuckled and he snorted again probably rolling his eyes, but you couldn't tell for you were ever so mesmerized from the ocean.

"Isn't it beautiful, Levi?" You asked and he looked up from the sand to your form, feeling his stomach turn unside down as his heart beated faster in his ribcage. He gulped down and tried to tear his eyes off your sun-soaked figure to the phrase he had written on the sand.

"Yeah, it is." He mumbled.

"And what've you been writing down there?" You looked at him, your gaze travelling to the message on the sand as your eyes widened twice their size and you stared at Levi bewildered.
