"You don't need to help me with this, you know. I can do it alone." Annie stated, making you roll your eyes.

As if you were backing on her when she needed help. Plus, she was just searching for a way to prove she was independent. Not that you wouldn't do the exactly same if someone else tried to help big ol' stubborn you, but when it was you the one offering help then you were even more determined.

"Yes, but it would take twice as long." You argued with the blonde and she rolled her eyes with a sigh. Two boxes twice the size of her head were settled in her hands on top of one another, bags full of toys and books were hanging from her elbows as she glared ever so slightly in your direction. "If I'm here you won't need to do a second course." You made your point clear by picking up a few bags in each hand and letting them slide back to your elbows as you picked up a small column of three boxes.

"This is everything from the freshmen?"

Annie nodded as an answer and you sighed slightly.

It was going to be a hard job getting all of these stuff through the whole building, across the school yard and then to the corpus of the highschool. And even worse. On your way there you'd be passing by the spot of the "popular guys". In other words just the school heartthrobs, who like to skip classes and smoke there. You didn't even get why were they actually so popular. It was only looks as it seemed.

"This is a charity campaign and yet I feel like we're doing more charity while helping for it." Annie pointed out while you walked across the school yard already.

It was lunch break and here you were doing this instead of eating your food back in the classroom. Not that talking with Annie wasn't cool, the boxes were just getting real heavy the more you had them in your hands and the handles of the bags were rubbing against the skin of the inner side of your elbows painfully enough.

"Someone has to do it." Was your short answer to her statement as she hummed and then snorted.

"Yeah. And they put it on us." Annie never really complained about anything, she was just seemingly displeased with the fact that you two had to do it. Well, actually her only, you weren't really obliged to, but you just wanted to help her out.

"Black sheeps of the class, right?" You smirked slightly and she nodded.

"Fuck yeah."

"Oh, no, look ahead."

Your arms were outstretched while you supported the boxes so the bottom of the ones in your hands reached your mid-thigh and you were capable of seeing that you both had picked just the perfect time to pass by the spot of the school heartthrobs.

Annie's gaze strayed to the place you tilted your head to in a showing gesture and she almost groaned out loud.

Reiner, Erwin, Eren, Jean, Farlan and Levi were there.

Well, you couldn't really call them by their first names since they were all seniors (with the exception of Jean and Eren), whereas you and Annie were juniors and you'd never met any of them officially, but as one of the many whose ears the names reached, you couldn't help but remember. After all, every single girl in the school liked to talk about them.

You've seen Erwin and talked to him a few times because he was a part of the student counsil until last year and you needed some help going around in your freshman year, but that was it even though you thought he wasn't that bad of a person. Maybe just a bit manipulative.

You knew Eren since he was a neighbour of yours and he pretty much helped you take care of your younger brother during weekends while your mother and father went out and so on, so you could be called a strange version of friends.
