Levi x Reader ~ Light

You looked at the clouds becoming darker with each passing second and closing in to the building you were ever so securely at. With a sigh your chin left the palm of your hand and your attention darted away from the window to your surroundings.

You observed the lively happy conversations and chatting intersifying all around the room with your face resting in a peacefull look when your eyes fell on one particular person. He sat isolated from all the noise around him a few tables across from the corner you kept yourself at and sipped from his tea silently, being in his own world as the voices around him were just plain white noise.

In those rare moments he looked more serene than usual. His frown wasn't resting, but his lips were not fully curled downwards and his eyebrows weren't furrowed deeply. His eyes were either closed while he was thinking or half-lidded as he observed the common around him like a hawk. You smiled to yourself at your own thoughts and slowly lifted yourself from your seat, making your way out of the room and walking down the cold hallways of the building alone.

The moment you left your spot, Levi's gaze redirected itself upon the space you used to occupy just a few seconds ago as he made his way over to it and sat down, ignoring the looks some people were giving him. With an elbow propped down on the frame of the window and his chin resting in his palm he observed the outside just like you did before a few minutes.

The clouds were getting closer and were almost smoky grey as they stopped in front of the training yard. Out of the nowhere a single figure exited the building entrance and made its way to the yard, roaming pointlessly around as the man followed it sternly with his eyes.

The figure stopped in the middle of the yard and just stood there still and motionless for a few minutes until raindrops started to hit the window, slightly blurring Levi's vision to the figure. He cussed inwardly, but got up from his spot nontheless and made his way after you.

And while Levi was roaming around the hallways trying to get to you, you just stood under the rain calmly, feeling the water soak in your clothes and drip over your exposed skin. You breathed in and out deeply, enjoying the sensation the rain was giving you. But you weren't there fully because of the rain.

As you hummed to yourself in satisfaction, you heard someone calling out to you. When you turned around your hues were met with your Corporal's, who was holding his jacket above his head in a rediculous attempt of staying dry under the rain. But right now you wondered why was he even here. Had he saw you and came to scold you? No, probably not, because he rarely did. There had to be another reason. 

And in a wait for her you stared into your superior, the rain seemingly being ignored by your body, even thought it was soaking through it, reaching deep down to your bones and the roots of your hair. As he finally reached you, the dark haired man was already soaked himself and he didn't find for needed to hold his jacket and try to protect himself from the rain.

No words were said, neither were they truly needed 'cause Levi was always a man of actions as you had already learned long ago. He put on his wet jacket and visibly flinched from the coldness, but you seemed to be just fine. A scowl etched itself into his face because of your recklessness. You could get a cold or somehow hurt yourself and he knew it from many past experiences with your stupid head.

With a simple gesture he tryed to point the entrance of the headquarters, but his silent demand failed as you simply shook your head and smiled weakly, making him draw a sigh of frustration as he shook his head as well, thinking how could he even think that you would follow his orders. You never did.

Being desperate enough he decided to be gentle for once and if you were not to comply to his orders, he would at least stay by your side. And with a single step he closed the distance you held and embraced your soaked form into his warm hands as the rain still poured down on you.
