Pack Gatherings (3 weeks later)

Yesterday Derek asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. I feel full of joy and for once I feel like things aren't bad as I once thought. I'm nervous because I don't want others to hate me because I'm not his mate. I know I might be a little paranoid but it's just that I care what they have to say about this. The guys and Misty mean so much to me and I just want them to be ok with my relationship.

I kept thinking all this while getting ready. I was wearing tights,long white knitted sweater and some combat boots. I began to blow dry my hair listening to music.

I began dancing and singing along with the song. I was feeling happy. It felt like it was a good day today. In the middle of my dance when the beat drops I heard a knock. I lowered down the music. I walked and opened the door and saw Jasper.

"Come in " I said opening the door.

"Hey" Jasper said looking down.

"Hey" I said awkwardly.

"Nice song" he laughed.

"Yea I know" I laughed and walked back to turn off my music.
"Um did you need something Jasper?"

"Can we talk?" Jasper asked.

"Actually, I'm heading downstairs " I said.

"Oh. Um I'll walk with you. If that's okay with you" he said nervously.

"Alright" I said walking towards the door.

I waited for him to come out. I started walking down the hall with him at my side. I felt weird because I didn't know what to expect him to say about my interruption yesterday. This is super awkward.

"I'm sorry about yesterday. You know about walking in and seeing-" he said but I interrupted.

"Look I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have just went in without knocking but I don't know..I was just use to going in you know? Not just with you but the other guys. I forgot you had a mate. I promise not to do it ever again" I said quickly.

"Janet I'm the one that's sorry" Jasper whispered.

"Your sorry for what?" I asked confused.

I stopped walking at the bottom of the stairs. I looked up at him confused. What did he have to be sorry about?

"You shouldn't have seen me like that with her. I didn't think you would come... you were with Derek and I just didn't feel important" Jasper said coming closer to me.

"Jasper she's your mate and I understand you have that intimate bond with her. Just like Misty and Drew. Lucas and Sarah and the rest of the guys. I didn't mean to ruin your moment with her honestly " I said smiling.

"Jan Jan you don't understand I'm sorry for her attitude towards you. Especially her bringing up about mates " Jasper said looking down.

"It's fine " I smiled sadly an hugged him.

"Go spend time with her"

"Your too amazing you know that?" he smiled.

"I been told" I teased.
