Epilogue

~One Year Later~

"And now, by the power vested in me, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. Ryder, you may kiss your bride." 

I smiled as Ryder gave me a loving kiss on the lips. 

"Ladies and gentleman, I present to you Ryder and Annalise Mitchell."

The audience roared with cheers and clapping. Ryder and I looked at each other, smiling. After only a year, Ryder and I knew. We knew that there would never be anyone else for either of us. And because we shared so much love for each other, we were married. 

"How are you feeling, Mrs. Mitchell?" Ryder asked, smiling.

"I'm doing great, Mr. Mitchell!"

I looked into the crowd and saw so many friendly faces. Sarah, Daniel, and King Mitchell seemed to have the happiest expressions. 

Ryder and I walked down the aisle as everyone continued to cheer, and I was filled with more joy than I could have ever imagined possible. 

A few hours later, Ryder and I had begun slow dancing at the reception. I looked over his shoulder and smiled. Daniel and Sarah were dancing too, sharing an occasional kiss. 

"How did I get this lucky?" He asked me. "I'm married to the most beautiful woman in the world." 

I blushed. "I think I'm the lucky one."

After a couple of hours of dancing, Ryder and I decided to sneak outside and enjoy the fresh air for awhile. It was warm and crowded in there, so we both needed a break. We sat down on a  bench in front of a lake and gazed at the sunset. 

"Ryder?"

"Yes?"

"Everything's going to be okay now, right?" I asked. "No more bad guys?"

Ryder laughed. "No Annalise, no more bad guys." 

I was silent, relieved that we wouldn't have to worry about our powers anymore. "I love you."

"I love you too."

And then we continued to stare into the sunset. I don't know how long we sat there. It could have been a few minutes, or it could have been hours. The only thing I know was that there was something we both saw in each other's eyes.  

It was hope.

I want to thank all of you for reading my story! I have been inspired by each and every one of you! You made it through this journey, and I couldn't be happier. I know, it's sad whenever a book ends, but I had to stop it eventually. :)

The next story I am writing is called My High School Bully. It's going to be a short story, and I don't think I'm going to post it until it is completely done. We'll see though. I'll try and keep you guys updated with everything that's going on. Let me know what you guys think.
