I'm staring at the milkshake Harmony gave me. She said it's a peace offering. I was hesitant to take it at first, but I don't know what's gotten into me to accept the drink. I was surprised when a hand grabbed my shake. I couldn't take it back.
"Akin yan!"
"Painom. Tinititigan mo lang naman eh." He said and drinks from my shake.
"So pag hindi ko iniinom may karapatan ka ng kunin?"
"Damot nito."
"Amin na nga yan." I take back my milkshake and drinks from it while this guy in front of me is grinning like an idiot. "What?"
"Nothing."
He sat beside me. We still have ten minutes left before the classstarts. He hands me a black envelope. Great. Not again.
"Dept. Head is summoning you. Pangatlo mo na ngayong semester. I won't be surprised if they'll suspend you now. I can't cover for you every single time Ram."
"They attacked me first Nix. They can check the surveillance cameras if they want. And you don't have to cover for me. I'm fine."
He shook his head like he's saying it isn't fine at all.
"Kay Sir Rens mo sabihin yan. Baka sakaling community service lang ang gawin mo."
"Hopefully." I stand up from my seat and walks toward the door.
"Hey! Where are you going? Class is about to start."
I stopped and raised the envelop he gave me and grinned. "I thought the Department Head is calling me? I'll be quick. Cover for me."
"Hey! Hey!"
I didn't look back even when he called me. It took me five minutes to reach his office. I took a quick breath first before knocking and enters his office.
"I was waiting for you Miss Raskins. Take a seat."
I did what he told me and seat across his desk. He gave me a couple of pictures. It's the one they took after I made Peters' group a lump of ice.
"I need your side of the story."
"I was asked by Miss Frosh to tour Harmony Leung around academy. We were on our way back to our class when they cornered me. They attacked me first. I got cut, it triggered me, so I fought back. You can check the surveillance cameras if you want."
He sighed and shakes his head. "That's what I heard from Mr. Fahrner too. Miss Raskins, do I need to remind you that its your third time to get a black card?"
"Are going to suspend me now?"
"No. Not this time. It seems you're telling the truth. I'll consider your conduct as self-defense. I won't promise the same the next time you get a card though. I'll have to suspend you."
