"Ram!"
I heard someone calling me, so I tried to find who it is. I saw Harmony running towards me. She greeted me 'good morning' and gave me her usual smile. I nodded and returned her greeting but didn't talk to her. I also walked in a quicker pace, but she keeps on matching it. There's no shaking her, does it?
I just let her tag along since we'll both end up in the same classroom. She's trying to get me into a conversation but stopped when she realized I'm not talking at all.
"You don't really like me, do you?" she asked me. I turned to her when she said that. She may be smiling but disappointment is visible in her eyes, even in her voice.
I opened my mouth to answer but nothing comes out because I myself don't know either. I don't hate her, but I can't find myself befriending her just yet. It's kind of complicated. Besides, I'm not used in talking to others aside from persons I'm close with or when it's school related and necessary. Afterall, I don't have friends aside from Nixon. Am I socially awkward? Guess I am.
"I'll go ahead then. See you in class." She said and jogged her way to our building.
I started walking slowly. Her words keep playing in my mind. Someone placed a hand in my shoulders making me jump a little.
"Something wrong?"
I recognized Nix's voice, so I relaxed.
"No. I'm fine."
"You sure?"
I nodded and just changed the subject. When we reached our room, my eyes darted to Harmony. She's chatting with some of our classmates. I guess she's fine.

Days passed and I thought that after what happened, Harmony will stop talking to me or smile at me, but she didn't. Though I noticed she doesn't talk or smile at me frequently anymore and doesn't sit with us during lunch (she does it from time to time) which made me strangely disappointed. Well Ram, what would you expect? A person can grow tired too, especially when treated like that. Did I unintentionally expect a little?
"Ram sorry, hindi kita masasabayan ngayon sa lunch. May pinapaasikaso kasi yung student council sa akin." Nix said while I'm fixing my things. "Don't worry, I'll ask Harm to eat with you. Para may kasama ka."
My eyes widen at what he said.
"No need. Makakakain ako mag-isa. Hindi naman na ako bata na dapat may kasama pa kumain."
"Okay, okay. Chill. Pasigaw ka na, alam mo ba 'yon?" He said chuckling.
I wince with what he said. I admit, my voice was louder than usual, and I did talk faster.
"Oh? Akala ko ba may pinapaasikaso sayo? Are you sure hindi mo kailangan mag madali?"
"Right! See you later." He said and started to sprint. I can't help but to shake my head.
