Ride or Die~ Change of Plans...?

Jason lead me through several levels of security. Until we stopped at the last door of a never ending hallway. He gave me a look before pushing the door opened and leading me inside. "Jason" A man in his mid 20's examined the killer.

"Micah." Jason nodded his way. "Did you do the job?" The old voice spoke again. "Yes."

"Any complications?"
"Just one." Jason stepped to the side in order to reveal me quietly brought out of hiding to come into view of the man sitting behind a large desk with raised eye brows.

"Whose your friend?"

"Not a friend"

"Whose the girl?" The man restated more stern.

"Her name is--" Before he could finish I took it upon myself to introduce myself, "Paisley James" Both Jason and Micah were surprised by my actions.

Jason giving me more of a glare. I held out my hand to the man in hopes he would warm up to me a little better, his rough palms grabbed my much smaller hand as he pressed his lips to my knuckles,

"Nice to meet you young lady." I nodded.

"Jason, private talk."
Jason lead me back to the door and whispered,

"Go 5 rooms down to the end of this hall, turn right, go two halls down, turn left, go to the third room on the left and tell him I sent you." The many directions Jason left me with confused me but before I could ask him, the door was shut in my face.

"Who is him?" I wondered to myself as I tried my best to follow Jason's instructions. "Turn left, three rooms to the left" I whispered as I walked out the steps. I raised my hand to knock on the door but before my hand reached it, I was frozen when the door opened revealing a boy slightly shorter and less good looking than Jason.

"Hey, you're Jason's friend?" He asked and I just nodded, not knowing how to respond. The young man stepped to the side and motioned me in, he was already much more polite than Jason. I smiled as well as I could, still trying to hide the fact that I was really shaken up from what I witnessed earlier.

"The name's Beau." When he said his name I thought back to the phone call right after the shooting.

"You cleaned up the body." I stated already knowing the response. With a slight nod of the head Beau spoke, "Ya ma." I looked away not knowing what to say next. It was quiet.

"What is this place?" I finally asked after a few long moments. "It's a warehouse" Beau shrugged as if it was nothing special. "Why do you live in a warehouse?"

"The whole gang does."

"Gang?"

"Eastside Gang, most well known Gang on the whole East coast"

"How long you been here?"

"7 months"

"And Jason?"

"6 years, he joined when we was 11 after losing his parents."

"How'd they die?"

"They--" He stopped himself, "I'm sorry, I've said too much already." I gave him a look as if to beg him to continue but he shook his head. I sighed and slumped into the couch.

"Are they gonna kill me Beau?" His eyes suddenly went piercing blue, "I hope not." I cocked my head at him, he just smiled in return. "It'd be fun to add another girl in." Add another girl in? Like me join? My heart stopped. I let it go.

"What would keep them from killing me?"

"I don't know, we'll have to see what boss says."

As if on que, the intercom hanging on Beau's wall which I had just noticed spoke out, "Beau Keys would you please escort Miss James to my office?" I could tell the voice belonged to Micah-- I mean boss.

"Wait." I stopped Beau just before we got back to boss' office. "I'm scared." I spoke truthfully. He shook his head at me, "It'll be okay, Paisley. Whatever happens in there keep you're head held high."

"What do you mean you have to put me through a course to test my abilities?" I asked suspiciously

"Exactly that." Boss spoke.
Beau stood behind me, along with Jason. Micah's voice filled the room once again, "We're going to give you the day to train tomorrow--"

" I have school tomorrow," I corrected him, his eyes narrowed telling me basically my plans had been changed. There was a slight cough then he continued, "You will train tomorrow. Train in the field of 'Fighting' with Jason." I cut off boss once more,

"Isn't there anyone else?" He rolled his eyes and shook his head, "No but if you interrupt me again you're going to wish you hadn't." I nodded understandingly and let him continue. "Then train in 'Attack tactics' with Beau. Attack Tactics such as sneaking up on a person." I smiled slightly.

That's why Jason is always so good at just appearing places, he's been trained to do so. "And lastly you will train in 'Shooting' with Jason." I was about to cut him off again before he stopped me by holding up his hand gesturing me not to, "And no, Jason is going to have to assist you because he is also our best gunman." I craned my neck around to see a confident Jason smiling proudly then winking at me. I rolled my eyes and turned around.

"And after training?" I asked.

"Then you'll be tested."
"And if I pass?"
"We have options."
"If I fail?"
"You know too much."
"So..."
"You don't want to fail."

Just then my phone started going off, slicing the tension in the room. I dug in my bag over my shoulder to pull out my phone and look at the Caller ID, Serena. I gave an apologetic look to everyone in the room before stepping to the side to take the call. It didn't take long for the boys to start a murmur of conversation between themselves.

"Where the hell are you?!"

"I don't think I can come over anymore."

"Why."

"I woke Branson up trying to leave and now he won't go back to sleep."

"Nice going slick."

"Sorry girl."

"Do you need a ride to school tomorrow?"

"No, I'll drive! Thanks though!"

"Mhm. See ya tomorrow Pais."
I heard a click and glanced at my phone to see the call ended. As soon as I turned on my heals I came face to face with Micah. was confused at first but then glanced down at his opened palm. He wanted my phone. I sighed, knowing I would never win an argument with this guy. I planted the phone in his palm.

"You'll be staying in Jason's room tonight."

"Boss! I--" Jason began to protest but was soon cut off.

"You brought her here, she's your problem."

I had never been referred to as 'a problem'.
I sighed before following Jason out of the office and heading to his-- I mean our room.
