"Do I have to call you boss now?"

"Jason, come quick!" Beau sounded tense and alarmed as he ran into Jason's office. Without hesitating, Jason stood from the desk and chased after Beau whom was now sprinting down the hall. "What the hell dude?" Jason huntched over at the waist to grab his knees once they came to a stop outside Boss' door. Beau appeared stunned, like he had seen a ghost. "He's gone, man," Beau's voice was raspy. "What do you mean gone? Whose gone?" Jason asked becoming worried. Without saying another word, the door was swung opened to reveal and empty room, a room that once was Boss' and held bookshelves, guns, couches, a desk, chair, ammunition, pictures, and now it was all gone. "What the fuck?" Jason mumbled under his breath.

"Jason, what do we do?!" Beau became even more consumed in his face of worry, "There are hundreds of people who answer to this man and now suddenly that man isn't here. What's gonna happen to the gang? Where did Micah go? What's going on?" Jason began searching the room as Beau continued on with his rant. Jason has known Boss for seven years, ever since he took him in that long ago. He was the closest member to Micah, and more than anything else, Jason knew Boss wouldn't just up and leave everything. Not everything that he worked so hard to create.

Debating rather or not to open the secret hiding spot, Jason finally did. He was only supposed to in sense of an emergency, and he figured this could qualify. He was the only one who knew of Micah's top secret lock box hidden within the wall to the North of the room, third center-block from the right and second from the bottom. Beau watched in amazement as Jason pulled the brick from the wall and revealed a black metal box. "What is that?" Beau's voice was shaky as his finger rose to point towards the item. "Don't you dare tell a soul, Beau Keys, or I will kill you myself." The much more handsome one of the two threatened as he entered the pad lock numbers followed by three beeps and then the sound of the box becoming unlocked. Click Clack.

"Beau, look at this!" Jason pulled an envelope from the metal container and swung it around in the air until Beau came over with bright eyes drowned in interest. "What do you think it is?" He asked hesitantly. Jason shrugged before responding, "Only one way to find out." Just before the man could tear opened the golden envelope, a hand met his fists and he stopped mid stride. "What?" Jason glanced curiously as his friend who seemed rather-- Nervous? "Maybe we shouldn't, Boss will be pissed if we go through his shit."

Ignoring the comment, Jason continued to open the letter. "It's a note," He confirmed while pulling the paper from the sleeve. "What's it say?" Beau wondered and plopped down next to Jason, staring intently over his shoulder. Both the boys eyes began to quickly scan over the words written in sloppy cursive:

"Jason McCann,

I knew you'd know exactly where to look. I never hoped the situation would come to this, but if you're getting this letter it means I have dismissed myself from the gang. I can't explain it all right now, and I doubt I'll ever have a chance. Considering you helped build the empire it seems only fit that you take charge from here on out. I trust you not to drive everything we've worked for into the ground.

Best of luck,

Boss."

Shock ran through the boys' veins, freezing them over in the process. Jason was going to become the new boss? I mean it made sense. Jason was the first one to work with Micah, the most loyal, the best firearm, the best fighter, and he had damn good strategies, but that didn't change the fact Jason was nervous. He didn't want to disappoint Micah-- wherever he might be, and he defiantly didn't want to ruin everything for the gang. He was now in charge of hundreds of people, deals, warehouses, money, weed, guns, lives, and Eastside Gang's destiny. The pressure was on.

"Does this mean I have to call you boss now?" Beau was the first to speak up, breaking the utter silence. He was only joking and attempting to lighten the mood; however, Jason was in no mood for a joke. "Don't be stupid, Beau." He spat, not taking his eyes off the letter in front of him for even a second. After a few more quiet minutes, Jason began digging through the rest of the box. He found keys to every room in the warehouse along with every car in the garage, names of everyone in the gang, recent bank statements, an untraceable cell phone he had once seen Micah use, and a map of the warehouse. While Beau was digging through the files Jason studied over the map. He noticed something different about this format, it had an extra room. One he had never seen or been in, and he knew if even he hadn't seen it, that no one else had either. There was a reason Micah kept it a secret, maybe he should keep it a secret too, or maybe Beau just wasn't the right person to tell.

"What's that?" He could feel the presence of unwanted eyes scanning over the blue print as well. Jason quickly folded the map up and shoved it, along with everything else except the letter and the secret door's keys, back into the lock box. "You saw nothing," Jason grumbled as he slammed the metal cover shut and stuffed it back into it's original spot in the wall. "We gotta tell everyone, Jason, they'll find out soon enough on their own." Jason sighed and nodded his head in return before making his way over to the speak on the wall and holding down the button.

"All member of Eastside report to the commons for an important announcement, ALL members." Jason's rough voice echoed through out the entire warehouse like an earthquake.
