"Fate"

"Paisley, wake up."
"No," I grumbled and turned over, shoving my face into the sea of pillows.
"Dammit Paisley." Haley spoke with annoyance.
"Go away," I pushed her legs, the only body part, I could reach away from the bed.
After regaining her stance she tapped me in the head with her sculptured finger nail, "You, up." She commanded. I rolled my eyes before pushing myself from my comfortable slumber. I reached up to rub my eyes, not even wanting to know how deep my dark circles were. I felt as though I had been hit by a train-- No, I felt worse. I felt as if I was running, got hit by a train, then had to get up and continue running. Before I was ready, my over sized curtains were drawn back allowing the overwhelming sun rays to pour into the room. I swatted at the air, hoping to push the light away but I failed miserably, "Too bright!" I shrieked gaining a laugh from Haley.
"Where are the guys?" I asked once finally refreshed and changed. "Already left," Haley shrugged simply whilst throwing several articles of clothing along with my pink hidden handgun from my night stand into my duffle. "Oh right," I whispered to myself, running my fingers through my hair, "Today is the day."
"Yup," She popped the 'P' and zipped the bag closed.
I guess Haley and I would be driving separately from the guys. Haley was gonna drive my Range while I accompanied her in the passenger seat.

"Are you nervous?" My voice broke the silence after a long battle with myself and finally building up the courage to ask. "Hm?" She barely acknowledged my words. "Are you nervous about today?" I restated the question, fiddling with my fingers in my lap. I sure was. "You mean the fight?" She glanced over to me once we came to a red light. I nodded slightly, smiling back at her weakly. "No."
"That makes one of us."
"You're scared?"
"Kind of," I admitted.
"Don't be."
"How can you say that?"
"Have you met Jason?" Haley laughed quietly to herself.
I rolled my eyes as she continued, "Jason is the best fighter, shooter, and planner I have ever seen. Not to mention, you're not so bad yourself. If everything goes as planned, we'll be more than okay. Jason would never let anything happen to you, or Branson." Not knowing how to respond, another silence overcame the both of us.
"Plus," She finally broke it, "I believe in fate."
"Fate?"
"I believe we all die. And the way we die is already planned out for us. Instead of living in fear of it, we should live for it. Know you're gonna die so make the most out of the time you have instead of wasting it by worrying about that split moment that life gets taken away from you. You can't live in fear, Paisley." I giggled at the end of her speech, it sounded so good I could have sworn it was rehearsed. Before I could say anything, my phone was buzzing in my back pocket. I reached around and got it only to see Jason's name written all over the screen in big letters. A smile painted on my lips. After seeing my expression, Haley rolled her eyes and turned back to the road, "Are you gonna answer it, lovergirl?" My eyes darted to her in order to give her a death glare before sliding my finger over the answer button and pressing the device to my ear.
"Hey baby," I greeted him warmly.
"Good, you're up. Have you guys left the warehouse yet?"
I frowned slightly knowing this was nothing more than a business call, but then again, it was Jason. On days like this his eyes stayed that deadly coal shade of black and he spoke of nothing emotional, just strategics.
"Yep, we're only about an hour behind you."
"I doubt that, I'm driving." I rolled my eyes with amusement, Jason was an amazingly fast driver.
"Anyways, tell Haley I'm sending her a map and directions to Jonathan's location." Jason continued.
"Alright," I sighed, ready to end the call.
Right before I did his voice interrupted me, "Oh and Paisley?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."

We eventually pulled up to an abandoned courthouse, I wondered what Jonathan was doing here. We stayed a safe distance as our eyes roamed the area, spotting Jason's white Ferrari. Sex on wheels. Quietly, Haley and I slipped out of my Range and made our way over to the white beauty. I leaned down into Jason's driver side window as Haley copied my actions on Beau's side. "Hey," I whispered, ducking in a little more to get a quick peck. I looked over to Beau in the passenger seat, he already had his computer equipment out, typing in codes. I suppose he was hacking their computer system.
"How long?" Haley asked, we all knew she was referring to the time before the plan would actually be put into action. Jason studied over his watch before returning his attention to Haley, "9 minutes, 17 seconds." He spoke with bitterness, "Have you gotten in yet, Beau?" He then looked over to the computer screen with hundreds of letters and numbers in no specific order and constantly changing. "Just about," There was a pause before Beau swiftly pressed one last key, "Done."
Jason then turned back to me and loaded his handgun along with many others placing them in various places around his body. Beau's job was complete, hack the system. Haley would be covering us from the outside, killing everyone she possibly could in the least amount of time she could do it. Jason and I would go in together into the actual abandoned building and we would have to take out literally everyone.
Click, clack. The gun chimed as Jason loaded my pink beaut. He then handed it over to me, once I grasped it though, he held onto the other end still. I tugged slightly, but he kept his grip. My eyes traveled from the gun up to Jason, "I've gotchu." He spoke nonchalantly meaning he would have my back no matter what happened. I simply nodded before leaning up on my tippy toes and pressing my lips firmly to his cheek. I turned to give Haley a quick side hug before she began her journey up the side of the hill where she would set up and use her snipping skills to take out as many people as she could.
After she was gone, I looked back to see a pained Beau, "She's gonna be okay," I reminded him. He just nodded, the frown plastered on his face not leaving once. I embraced him carefully, "We're all gonna be okay, Beau, our fate is already written out for us." He sudden turned up to me with a confused expression. I shrugged casually, "That's what Haley told me." He chuckled low before ducking his head, "Stay safe out there, you two. This is unlike any other mission we have ever done." Jason and I looked to each other before nodding.
We were at the back doors waiting to go in, waiting for Beau's signal when suddenly Jason grasped my arm and stopped me. I turned to him with a worried expression only to be embraced by the most passionate kiss I've ever experienced. If we didn't make it out of this fight, I could still have died happy in that moment. By the end, we both pulled away breathlessly as I let out an, "I love you."
Before he had time to respond, we were given the signal and all hell broke loose.

(The fight is exactly like the final shoot out in Mr & Mrs Smith)
