A moment of Love
After building up the courage to finally knock on the door of Jason's suite, I prayed silently that he would actually answer. The prayer was granted as the door slowly opened to reveal a squinting Jason who appeared confused, "Paisley?" He rubbed his eyes at the light. I nodded just as tiredly, "Can I sleep in here?" My hand rose to motion towards the room, his room. He finally came to and put his right arm against the top of the door frame where he leaned on it, "I don't think that's a good idea."
"Jason please."
"Sleep in your own room."
"No, I'm scared."
"Why?"
"I watched a scary movie," I mumbled low enough so he wouldn't hear.
"What was that?" He leaned a little closer.
I repeated myself in the same tone.
Now I knew he had heard me because his tired lips came up into a smirk, "I'm sorry, I can't hear you."
I rolled my eyes before pushing the back of my hand to his side and removing him from the door way where I sauntered in and collapsed into the bed. It felt like heaven. "I never said yes," Jason attempted to sound angry, but failed miserably. "Get over it, McCann." My smirk was hidden against the pure darkness that filled the room. Without warning, the bed sunk in next to me and Jason's back was faced away, the only way I figured that was I could only faintly hear his breathing and even in the darkness I couldn't feel his usual gaze sent upon me. I frowned at the thought and began to talk quietly, "Jason, I'm sorry for earlier, I didn't mean it. You're not over protective, you just care. And that means the world to me because I know how hard that is for you, and well, I'm sorry." I gave my best attempt at an apology.
He replied by turning and pulling me into a tight hug where he held me for minutes until I finally fell asleep in his strong grip, where I knew I was always supposed to be. "I love you," He murmured into my hair before laying a wet peck on the side of my jawline. My lips rose at his words then I whispered back faintly, "I love you more."
- No one's point of view
Paisley was awoken the next morning with a sweet kiss to the temple. Her eyes fluttered opened only to meet Jason's, "Hi," She giggled. You could tell in her voice she had just woken up, and this was the time Jason liked her best. When she looked like a mess. He found comfort in knowing that even someone that seemed so perfect such as her could have a messy side about them. "Hey," He replied cheekily and pressed his lips down to her plump, pink ones. She smiled before knocking him off the side and sitting up, "Jason," She giggled while running her fingers through her long, black locks, pulling out tangles in the process.
He chuckled then wrapped his arms back around her waist to pull her back into the sea of pillows spread out all over the bed. She smiled up at him and gawked at his breath taking mocha orbs, only then did she realize how lucky she truly was. To have such an amazing person in her life, who affected her in ways she never thought possible. And the best part about it was, he felt the same about her. In that moment, nothing and no one could have ever ruined what they had. They shared a moment that could have lasted forever, a moment of pure happiness and genuine emotion. A moment of love.
