Epilogue
"Jason," I called over the sound of my husbands gun fire going on in the shooting range. He obviously couldn't hear me over Beau, Laron, and Dalton's laughs either. Haley lifted the apron from her attire and smiled gently at me, "I'll go get them." She laughed as she rounded the corner out of the kitchen. Sam was putting together a salad that looked more like a master piece. I was creating my famous Turkey Dressing that everyone had grown to love on the holidays. Before she left, Haley was helping Kami with seasoning the actual turkey. We had our entire family and most of the gang coming over for Thanksgiving this afternoon, and when I tell you that was a lot of people, I meant it. We couldn't invite just a few, after mine and Jason's wedding, ten years ago, the entire warehouse had become family. And getting together at this time of the year was simply tradition.
Not much as changed in the ten years. Blair and Drake are still babies in my eyes, but Jason constantly reminds me that at ten years old, they are passed the childish things such a needing me to tuck them in every night. Speaking of the little devils, they came running through the kitchen, knocking over a bowl full of flour that Sara, another gang member, had assembled together in order to make cookies for the children of the warehouse. "Drake! Blair!" I scolded the precious faced children who suddenly got wide eyes and halted in their tracks. Sara, along with the other ladies in the kitchen, laughed off their immature behavior. "Oh, let them be kids, Paisley!" Haley returned through the door way and nudged my rib cage in a joking manner. I dipped my finger tips into the pile of flour covering the counters and flicked the remains onto my kids, "You," I splashed Blair in the face humorously, then mimicked the action to Drake, "And you. Apologize to Ms. Sara."
Both Drake and Blair turned to the blonde headed lady and mumbled their apologizes while digging the toe of their shoes into the floor boards. Sara clasped her hands together with a wide smile and nodded her head down to the children, "Awe, that's quite alright." She then proceeded to hand off a snow man shaped cookie to both of the little monsters. "Now scoot!" She pushed them gently towards the exit of the kitchen, earning smiles from the adults.
We all returned to our previous occupations until I felt two strong arm circle around my waist and pull me back into a stone hard chest. "What's cookin', good lookin'?" Jason's seductive, throaty voice was music to my ears as I turned in his arms with a smile on my face. "Hey baby," I greeted warmly as he lent down to leave a quick peck on the tip of my nose causing me to giggle and scrunch it then lean away in defense. Beau and Dalton must have entered the room because I soon heard them making jokes on Laron's horrible aim. "Shut up, you both know I can kick your asses in two seconds," Laron angrily barked back as he took his stance behind Sam who was still working with the salad, cutting up greens and adding it to the mixture. "That's why your hiding behind your girl!" Dalton bravely teased over the counter, earning a death glare from Sam. "You've done it now," Jason whispered into my hair, but speaking towards Dalton.
"Do we have to remind you of the time you wet the bed because Laron and Beau literally scared the piss out of you at night?" Haley smirked, looking up from her work. Dalton's expression dropped nearly instantly as he wailed his hands into the air in frustration, "That was over twelve years ago!" Jason's face suddenly lifted from the crook of my neck where he was once leaving sweet kisses, "Yeah, but you were 21." The entire room filled with laughter, but not a sound escaped Dalton.
BAM! A crashing noise flooded through the air and everyone's eyes went wide. Everyone except for me that is. "Will you go see what your children have gotten into now?" I whimpered over my shoulder towards Jason who was already exiting through the kitchen doors. "How come every time they do something wrong they are suddenly just my kids?" Was the last I heard, making me smile. The next thing that was music to my ears was my daughter shouting, "He did it!" And my son echoing, "She did it!"
"Can we eat? You women are starving me!" Beau pouted, moving towards his now wife, Haley.
Haley gasped and leaned over into Sam's bowl to retrieve lettuce and throw it at her husband, "You dirty liar!"
"Hey! I just fixed that!" Sam whined.

Jason returned to the kitchen with both children tied together, with rope. My eyes had to of been golf balls, along with everyone else's. I was instantly at their side, doing my best to untie them from being bound to each other. "Jason! Couldn't you have just of put them in time out like any normal father would have punished their children!?' I shouted. "Mommy! Undo us! Drake smells funny!" Blair groaned, trying to move away from Drake, only making the knot tighter. "Yeah, well, you look funny!" Drake defensed, moving in the opposite direction, making it completely impossible to get the two apart. "Jason!" I blew a strand of hair from my face in frustration and stood up to see him standing next to Dalton, digging into the dressing I had just prepared. "Are you guys joking right now? Jason McCann, come untie your kids!"
"No," He replied matter-of-factly and went back to shoving in the food. "Why on Earth did you tie them up in the first place?!" I questioned, becoming more and more irritated by the seconds while all our friends stood around the counter totally amused by the entire show going on in front of them. "They wouldn't tell me who broke your vase and I didn't know who to believe so they are tied up until they can both come up with a common suspect." He was so bland with his answer. My reaction? Not so monotone. My eyes grew even wider as I turned back to my monsters, "You guys broke my vase?! Untie yourselves!" I quit trying t help them and went to shoo the older men from the kitchen so they would quit rummaging through the food before it even hit the table.

Once everyone was gone and the madness settled, the babies were put to rest, and it was just Jason and I - I found my happy place. "Baby," I crawled into bed next to my husband and watched as his eye lids slid opened and he smiled down at me, "Hi beautiful," He cooed. Just as always, a warm sensation played tag with both of my cheeks and I had to of been a burning color of red. "You know I love you, right?" I mentioned point blank as I collapsed into the bed and he slithered his arms around my waist in order to only pull my body closer to his. "As much as you know I love you," I smiled because I did. I knew he loved me so much, and there wasn't a thing in this world that could ever make me question it. I appreciated his love for me.
He planted a warm, passionate kiss to my temple and soon his eyes were fluttering shut. "There is no one in this world I would rather have in this bed, next to me," He whispered before drifting in sleep. My heart raced just as it was had whenever I was with him. No matter how long or often we were together, that boy still sent birds soaring through out my stomach and he was the only one who could have ever of had that effect on me.
