Paisley paced the basement of the warehouse, right by the doors that eventually lead out to the gorgeous wedding set up, but also her destiny with the man she loved. Haley gave her friend a gentle squeeze and smiled genuinely, "I'll see you at the alter." With that, she shot Pais a wink and strutted down the isle looking flawless in her bridesmaid dress. Paisley took in a gasp for air along with the perfect moment, in all honesty, she was just ready to be with the man she loved. Finally, the Maid of Honor, Serena, embraced her best friend with tears in her eyes, "I'm so proud of you, baby." She gushed. The bride giggled back, wiping her own tears that streamed her cheeks, "Don't make me cry!" She whined. Serena laughed at Paisley's childish behavior before sliding her hand down the lace of the bride's white dress. "See ya down there, P."
Once all the bridesmaids and groomsmen were shuffling down the isle with their partners, Paisley turned to Laron with a smile plastered across her face. "Thanks for doing this, L. You and Beau are the closest things I have to big brothers." He nodded and took her into his arms securely, although he didn't say a word, his face showed every positive emotion that could be felt. "I love you," He muttered as the back doors opened and the both of them came into full view of the set up. There were rows of people who stood from their white chairs, but the only person Paisley could see was the one at the alter beside Beau. Jason's eyes glowed at his bride to be as he took in her stunning appearance. She was shining like the moon in the night sky.
Paisley's eyes filled with tears as her heart rose to her throat where she could almost feel it beating rapidly. She couldn't take her eyes off the breath taking man at the end of the isle. It was only when she came to that she realized Laron had already been leading her and she was by now half way down. She gripped onto his arm tighter and thanked God he was there to support her because she felt like her legs could give out at any moment. Everyone's eyes were set upon the bride on her special day. They finally reached the end of their trip, and Jason stepped down the short three steps to take Paisley's hand. Paisley rose on her tippy toes to press her lips against Laron's cheek and whispered, "Thanks, L." Laron nodded in response and turned to shake Jason's hand firmly while winking.
"You look remarkable, baby," Jason let out. Paisley finally felt the stare of others settle upon her back as she nuzzled her way into Jason's arm and hid her face the best she could. He let out a chuckle and guided her small body to the top step where they stationed themselves in front of the man who would marry them, in this case, Beau. Beau grinned at the couple, "You look great, Pay." Paisley smiled and nodded slightly as if to motion a thank you.
In a matter of minutes, Paisley and Jason were turned to face each other where they spoke their own vows straight from the heart. This was one of the few times Jason McCann wore his heart on his sleeve.
"Paisley James," He sighed out as if he had a lot to say in a short period of time and had no idea where to start. Paisley couldn't help but laugh quietly at his rare nervousness. Jason chuckled and took both of her hands into the palms of his where he held them protectively. "I think everyone can agree that no one ever would have pictured me here," His words were cut off by a select few scoffs and laughs from the audience. Paisley smiled even brighter as she looked into his eyes and he continued, "but now that I am here, with the most beautiful girl I have ever met, I can honestly say I've never been happier. I want to spend every minute of the rest of my life with you. You're the biggest blessing I've ever encountered. In the year and six months we've been together, you've done more for me than I ever thought possible. You made me feel things I had been numb to for so long. You have an effect on me, along with everyone around you. You make people happier where ever you go. You're so perfect and sometimes I don't think you even realize. Of course, that only makes you even more perfect." Jason paused to think over his next few words carefully, then looked back up to his bride, "That's what I want to do. I want to spend the rest of my life proving to you just how perfect you are. I can't promise that there won't be fights and times we want to kill each other, but I can promise I'm gonna love you every minute of it. Not a second will go by that I don't love you. I need you, more than you need me. I can't wait to be with you for the rest of my life."
Paisley's eyes were producing more tears than they could hold. Her damp cheeks turned a deep crimson and soon Jason's thumb traced the stream of tears to wipe them away. His words were so genuine and beautiful, it broke her heart. Broke her into so many pieces that there could have been thousands of individual heavens for each flying one. She searched for the right words, but came up with none. Paisley's gaze broke from Jason's just long enough to glance at the crowd were many of their friends were also breaking down and others struck with complete awe.
Finally it was Paisley's turn. She crushe her lips to Jason's a little to early causing a few snickers to erupt from the crowd. She couldn't help it, she was still at a loss for words. Jason stumbled back slightly but soon regained jis posture and cocked an wye brow at her when they parted. Paisley found interest in her white heels as she blushed deeply. Beau grunted, "Not yet. Slow down, tiger." Of course his words only deepend the red tint on her cheeks. Soon though, Jason's fist lifted her face to meet his again and his thumb trailed her chin softly. He pressed his lips to her gently as if to make her feel better for her out burst. The crowd laughed again, but neither Jason nor Paisley gave a damn. Beau nudged Jason while rolling his eyes playfully, "Guys. This is a wedding. Not the honeymoon." Jason pulled back with a sly smirk while Paisley still fumed with a pink shine.
"Jason, I've never met anyone like you. From the moment I saw you I knew you were going to be different, but I never thought we'd end up here. Now that we are, I wouldn't want it any other way. You saved me, in more ways than one. I wish you saw yourself like I saw you because only then would you know have extraordinary you are. I am so utterly in love with you that it hurts. The way I feel when you walk into the room, or when you speak, or when you touch me..." She trailed off then cane back, "I wanna feel that for the rest of my life. I want to grow old with you." One of her hands left Jason's to reach down and stroke the bump on her stomach, "I want to be a happy family. There is no one else I would rather share my life with. You're everything I've ever needed and wanted. You're going to make the best father, and husband."
By the time the both were finished, every bystander was stirring with emotion. Jason even had a few tears in his eyes. Beau was the one who broke the golden silence, "As if you haven't already... you can kiss her now, Jason." The audience laughed in response. And within a nanosecond, Jason's lips were crushed against Paisley's. Their mouths move perfectly in sync, the same they always have. And always would. The kiss was everything it was meant to be. Lustful. Passionate. Demanding. Selfish. Selfless. Intimate. And... long. "There are kids here..." Beau muttered to the couple after several long moments of the on going touching. Paisley pulled away and tucked her face into the crease of Jason's neck in embarrassment.
"And with the power vested in me--" Beau began but was cut off by Dalton in the crowd, "Which isn't much!" Beau shook his head in laughter before continuing, "Shut up, Dalton. As I was saying," He rolled his eyes. "I pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. McCann."
