The McCann's

Five years later.
Paisley fell into the bed next to her husband, completely tuckered from the long day they had spent with the entire warehouse, celebrating the twins' birthday. It was crazy for her to believe still that a group of criminals could be so loving, but then again, Jason didn't exactly give them the choice. "Baby," Jason laid on his side, propping himself up to face Paisley. The girl smiled back a snuggled her way into his body. Jason's free hand roamed her back until stopping at her waist. "Do you think Blair and Drake liked their party?"
Paisley's head shot up at the question and she couldn't help but laugh quietly to herself. Jason had never been one to care about simple things like that until he had children of his own. "Of course they did." He nodded to himself and couldn't help but let thoughts flood to his mind. Every night before bed he relived every moment he spent with Paisley, falling more and more in love with it each time.
"Remember when you came to the warehouse the first time?" Jason questioned. Paisley nodded once more, feeling rather amused. "You mean the night you kidnapped me and drug me here," She clarified earning a slight glare from Jason. He rolled his eyes and continued, "I never thought we would be here." She leaned up on her own elbow, still laying side ways to get a good luck at the man in front of her, "Yeah, me either." She was honest. "I thought you were going to kill me."
"If it was anyone else I would have, I could just tell there was something different about you that I couldn't understand." He leaned down to his favorite girl and planted the most passionate kiss possible. She returned the favor and to be perfectly honest, it felt just as it did the first time they ever lip locked. The birds still swarmed in her stomach, her heart still melted into a puddle of emotion, and her greedy hands continued to want more. However, that would have to wait because the sound of a door opening stopped the couple from going any further.
"Mommy?" A little girl's voice piped up, barely audible. "Daddy?" A quiet male's voice mimicked right after. Paisley and Jason both sat up fully in their beds to see their daughter and son standing at the foot of the bed. One was holding the pink blanket and one was holding the blue. "Hi baby," Paisley cooed into Drake's ear as he climbed up into her lap. "What's wrong princess?" Jason wrapped his arms around the small figure of his daughter. Blair cuddled her way into Jason's chest, searching for reassurance and warmth.
"We couldn't sleep," Drake answered his father's question while latching onto his mother in a tight hug. Paisley giggled and squeezed him gently back, falling back into the bed to lay down with him on her side. Jason also laid back, Blair falling onto his stomach and resting her head against his chest. "Can we sleep in here, daddy?" Her fragile voice broke the silence in the room. "Only if mommy says its okay," Jason responded while turning his head to face his wife. "Of course!" Paisley cheered. Jason couldn't help but chuckle at her own childish behavior. She couldn't help it, she loved when she felt needed.
Soon enough, both of the toddlers were out cold, but not Paisley and Jason. Paisley scooted closer to him and hide her face into his side, right below his arm. She pulled along Drake who laid on the other side, cuddled into her side. Blair still rested peacefully on Jason's chest. He held everything that meant anything in the world right in his arms at that moment, and he knew. He knew that there wasn't a damn thing he would give any of it up for.
"I love you, Jase." Paisley whispered before also becoming consumed into the darkness of the night. "I love you more," Jason paused before continuing, "I will always love you more, Paisley McCann."
Everyone said they would never make it, yet they beat the odds. Who would have thought that such different people would end up with all the same futures? Jason needed Paisley, but she needed him just as much. It worked that way. They made up for each other's faults and flaws while still enhancing one another's perfections.
And after everything they had been through, love found it's way with them.
Paisley had been and would always be, Jason's "Ride or Die."
