Ride or Die~ "I'll be back, I promise"

Once we pulled into my drive way and Beau had climbed out of the back seat, Jason reached over the middle console to stop be from getting out, "Paisley, can we talk?" His voice was barely audible. "No," I opened the door stubbornly and began to get out. "You're being so dramatic." Jason got out of his white Ferrari and slammed the door shut, causing me to jump. "All this over one stupid fight." I sarcastically laughed and shook my head walking into my house. He thought this was all over the fight this morning.
The nanny came around the corner holding my baby brother, seeing him about brought tears to my eyes. I could feel the boys' presence behind me but that didn't stop me from running over and embracing my number one man. My lips connected with his cheek several times in a row, "I missed you so much, buddy!" The kisses kept coming until a pink blush beamed from his cheeks. His hand rose to wipe is face, "Not in front of people," He complained in a baby voice. I couldn't help but squeeze him tighter, that made him all the more precious.
"Sissy?" Branson waddled into my room holding his favorite green blanket he called 'yankie' since he was even younger. He never could say blanket so he always settled for yankie. I turned around from throwing several t-shirts into the second pink duffle. I could tell he was sleepy because his pupils were dilated. "Ready for bed, mister?" I giggled and stepped away from the packing to reach down and scoop the fragile body into my arms. Jason and Beau came into the room out of breath. Beau's hand raised to point at Branson, "He's the fastest little kid I've ever met in my life." I rolled my eyes playfully. "Got your ass whopped by a three year old? You both should be ashamed of yourselves." I winked before making my way out of my room, leaving the boys in there, all but one. Branson studied my face over as I laid him into his bed and began to tuck him in. "I love you," His baby voice cooed. "I love you too Brans."
I stayed in his room until he was fast asleep and it was only then that I realized, I probably won't see him for awhile considering I had to go back to live at the warehouse. There was no doubt that he would be okay, he had Nanny Carrie. But the thought of someone else taking care of my baby boy sickened me, I wish I had a choice. Then I noticed the tears that clung to my eye lashes, threatening to descend. Hearing a light knock at the door, I quickly wiped my face but by that time it was already too late. I looked up to see Jason standing casually in the doorway, "You okay?" He whispered. I ignored him. Soon though, we had to be on our way so I made my way over to Branson's bed and pressed my lips to his forehead, "I'll be back, baby." I promised before turning away to leave the room.
Once I got back to my room, I realized all my duffles and suit cases had already been packed and were stacked perfectly on the bed. I did a 180 to see Beau and Jason standing there with more of my bags. "Ready?" Beau whispered, I could do nothing more than nod my head. This was goodbye life. After many trips up and down the stairs, we managed to fit all the bags into Jason's Ferrari and my Range Rover. We agreed on Beau riding with Jason considering there was simply no more room in my car. The guys were already in the car as I finished my discussion with Nanny Carrie, "Please make sure to keep my baby safe. I love that boy more than the world, and if anything goes wrong, you know where to reach me." The old lady nodded before pulling me into a light squeeze.
I strolled over to Jason's white sports car and leaned down into the driver window, "I have to make one more stop before Walmart." The boys were quiet, not complaining because for once, they understood. They understood how difficult it must have been to just up and leave this life. The life I was so used to living. Everything was about to change. "We'll follow you." Jason spoke up from a few inches away. "Drive safe," I commanded, mostly speaking towards Beau considering I was still upset with Jason.
After twenty long minutes on the road, we pulled into a casual sized house. My eyes glistened with tears when I saw my best friend's room light still on. When she saw my car, her face went into shock and disappeared. I had barely made it out of my car by the time she had made it down the stairs, out the door, and tackling me into her front yard. She embraced me tightly, as I returned the favor. She did it because she missed me, I hugged her because I was going to miss her.
"Where have you been babe?!" She nearly shouted at me.
"Busy," I smiled falsely, shrugging.
I saw her eyes trace to the white Ferrari parked next to the curb outside her house, "Is that who I think it is?!" She gasped. I nodded but then cut off every dirty thought that was going through her mind, "Not the reason you're thinking though." She pursed her lips as if to say she didn't believe me. "What's going on, Pay?" She questioned me.
"I don't have much time to explain," I began, "I have to go for awhile."
"Go? Go where?"
"I can't tell you." I looked down.
"Does this have something to do with him?" She nodded towards Jason's car.
I sighed, "I'm sorry, Serrie."
"You can't just leave me." She cried out.
"It's safer if you just stay here."
"Safer? What do you mean safer?"
Jason's car beeped causing me to jump, he was telling me I needed to pick up the pace. I turned to glare before looking back to my best friend. This is the second goodbye to the second most important person in my life. Tonight was horrible. I wrapped my arms around her once again, "I'll come back for you soon, I promise." I heard her muffled sniffles into my right shoulder where she hid her face. If the boys weren't with us, I would have probably of been crying too, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and leaned back to wipe her tears away, "It's okay."

We were off again, this time on our way to Walmart. Now that I was alone, it was safe... safe to cry my eyes out to my hearts content. Only there were no tears. I tried to cry but there was simply nothing. I sniffled a little then my phone began buzzing, I plugged it into the car and the phone call played through the large speakers that surrounded my car completely.
"Hello?" I sniffled.
"Pay?" Dalton's voice came through.
"Oh hey, what's up?" I asked as I turned into the Walmart parking lot, the boys still following.
"Are you okay? Are you crying?" He sounded like a worried older brother.
"I'm fine. Just reminiscing." By that time I was pulling into a parking spot as the boys mimicked just next to me.
"Are you at the warehouse?"
"No, I'm at Walmart picking up a few things." I glanced out my window at the boys already out of Jason's car, leaning against it and looking at me as if they were playing a guessing game on who I was talking to.
"Call me when you get back."
"Will do, bye D." I quickly hung up before unplugging my phone and stepping out of the car.
