Silence Before Chaos

The next morning, Jason and I woke up in a position that we hadn't fallen asleep in. We fell asleep with our backs to each other, niether feeling the need to get at an uncomfortable closness but by the time we had woken up, my head was against his stone chest. My left arm drapped casually over his torso and his arm around my shoulders only holding me closer. Our legs were tangld but for the most part my left leg wrapped around his. Almost shocked, I glanced up to see him already awake. "Goodmorning," His raspy voice spoke simply. I quickly sat up running my hand through my long black hair, pulling out a tangle. Had we really been so attracted to each other that our bodies find each other subconsciously? I nearly gasped at the thought.

"Hi," my voice was almost sweet. I laid back against the bed , this time not against Jason, simply with my back pressed to the bed, leaving me to stare at the ceiling. It was the day we put our plan into action. My first mission. I just prayed silently that there was no one there willing to put up a fight because I didn't wanna kill anyone today, or ever. Jason obviously caught on to my silence because it was quickly broken, "What's going on in that pretty little head of yours?" Even though I didn't have to I turned on my side to push my elbow into the bed and lean up to rest my head on my hand. I stared at Jason's amazing body for just a moment before making contact with his eyes again, "I'm nervous." I spoke honestly.
"About the mission?"
"Yeah."
"Don't be. You have nothing to worry about."
"Why's that?"
"Cause I'll be there, Pais." He reassured me.
I loved it when he called me that, he is the only one who does. Everyone else either calls me by my name or by 'Pay' but for some reason I like it better when he called me 'Pais'.
"Promise?"
"Promise." He confirmed.

"I have something for you," Jason began as we finished getting ready, I applied my last coat of mascara before turning to him with my eye brows raised slightly, "Oh yeah?" He nodded before handing me the most beautiful hand gun I had ever seen. Of course it was pink, my favorite color. My eyes bulged at the stunning sight, well that and Jason was shirt less which made my eyes pop that much more.. "It's amazing," I spoke in utter shock as I took the gun into my own hands and twirled it around. Jason smiled proudly, "I thought you might like it, let's just hope you don't have to use it." I frowned at the sudden thought. I didn't want to nor was I ready to kill anybody. I didn't want to even think like that, but I knew if the time came and in a split moment I had to, I would.

"Please let there be no complications," I prayed under my breath on the way to the new warehouse, hoping everyone from the previous gang was already on their way out of town because I knew if they weren't there would be a fight and chances are, we would be out numbered. Haley and Beau followed behind us in the lambo. Jason snickered at my plea to God, "It'll be alright, Pais. I told you, I'm here." I nodded my head slowly, still honestly unsure. In a way, I was just glad Jason was finally warming up to me.

The ride to the warehouse was silent the rest of the way, but not an awkward silence, it was the kind of silence that a person could almost find comforting. The silence right before the chaos. That's when it happened. We pulled up a mile away from the over sized warehouse only to see men and even some woman walking around it wearing black and holding guns-- Big guns. Jason tensed up and gripped the wheel tightly, his knuckles turning white. The red lambo pulled up beside us and both ours and their windows rolled down. "We've got company," Beau's voice was almost so low and distant I couldn't hear him. Jason just stared forward for a long moment before turning to me with a sympathetic look as if to almost tell me I would be killing someone today.

No. No. No. I was sure I would find a way to make it out of this warehouse, mission completed without having to give up my innocence. I would beat the fuck out of somebody and severly damage them before I would ever kill anyone.
The four of us stepped out of the sport cars and shared a quick look before staring back to the warehouse. We would be traveling on foot the rest of the way to the building so we wouldn't get caught. Jason and Beau tucked their guns into the back of their pants before pulling another pair from the cars and loading them. Haley held her one gun close to her body, obviously not wanting to use hers either. The boys each carried extra amo and then Jason looked to me gripping my gun closely, almost scared.
He made his way around the car before pulling me into a hug. The moment would have been sweet if not for the situation and the guns in our hands. I'm not sure if the hug was for comforting or encase something happened to either of us, I didn't care though. Instead I just hid my face in his chest and enjoyed the moment.
Before leaving the cars Jason grabbed something out of his trunk, explosives. When I asked him the purpose of them he simply replied, "Emergencies." When we got close enough, Jason pulled the lever on the bomb, setting the timer off I suppose. My eyes widened, he gave me no time to think which honestly was probably good thinking on his part. The rest of the mission would have to be played out by nothing more than instinct and what I had learned in training. "We have two minutes," Jason looked to me, "You ready?" He asked. I nodded slowly, "Not much of a choice."

"When the bomb goes off people are going to evacuate, that's when we take them out. We're gonna have to move fast but efficient. There's no telling how many NIPs there actually are in that building. Use you instincts. Haley and Paisley move together, don't leave each others sides." I knew he was mostly saying that for my sake because I'm sure Haley could have made it in and out on her own but me on the other hand, this was my first mission.

Before I knew it, the bomb was thrown and all hell broke loose.
