Chapter 22

(Two years later)
I sighed as I looked at the ceiling.
I never think about those days. The days in California where I met Leo. But, today that thought can't get out of my head. I don't know why but it's been eating at me today. I hadn't thought about it in two years. So, why now?
I rolled my eyes as I heard the door open.
"Good afternoon." Dylan said as he kissed me on the cheek.
"Morning." I mumbled.
Dylan is my boyfriend at the moment. He's super nice though. And he has black hair and blue eyes. And I like him a lot. We've been together for a year and a half. And I haven't even talked to Mason since that day two years ago.
I still can't believe it's been two years...
"How was your day?" I asked as I stood up.
"It was fine. Work was boring as always." He shrugged as he put his stuff down and smiled.
No, he isn't living with me if that's what you were thinking.
"So, um...are we gonna have dinner tonight like we planned?" I asked.
He kissed me on the cheek again.
"Sorry. Can't. I have work." He said as he held up some papers. I sat down and sighed.
He never has time for me anymore.
"Look, we'll hang out tomorrow. I promise." He said as he crouched down next to me and smiled.
I nodded.
"Okay. Okay..." I said. He rubbed my shoulders up and down.

I walked down the street on a cold night. I sighed as I ran my hand through my hair.
I just can't let these feelings go can I? It's burning it's way through my mind again. I shook my head.
I've got to be kidding myself.
I looked down at my feet and suddenly I bumped into someone. I fell backwards and they caught me right on time.
I shut my eyes tight.
I opened my eyes and I instantly froze.
"Leo..." I mumbled.
"Naomi?"
I stood up straight and I laughed nervously.
"Why are you here?" I asked.
"I'm filming a movie here. I didn't know you lived in this city." He said as he laughed.
"Yeah. I mean, how's Summer?" I asked.
He looked at me weirdly as if he was expecting me to ask about Mason.
"She's fine. She's still in California and she's really great. Oh, and Mason doesn't talk about you at all. Whenever I try and mention it he just doesn't talk. But, he misses you." Leo said as he shrugged.
"Well, that's great." I said.
There was an awkward silence.
"How are you?" He asked.
"Good. My boyfriend and I were supposed to hang out today but he cancelled."
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Why did I have to say I have a boyfriend?
"Boyfriend, huh?" Leo asked as he sighed quickly.
"Yeah..." I answered.
"I...should go." Leo said as he started walking backwards.
"Yeah." I said as I waved at him.
"I'd like to see you soon Naomi." He said as he smiled.
"Me too." I said and I really meant it.
I waved bye and I sighed as I watched him walk away. I sighed. It's so weird that he just randomly appears into my life all of a sudden.

I ran my hand through my hair as I laid flat on my stomach. I looked at a necklace I was given a while ago. I was debating whether to wear it. It was a pink heart necklace. Would that be weird if I wore it?
I shook my head and pushed the necklace aside. I won't wear it.
I like Dylan. A lot. And...I'm not gonna have Leo just walk into my life and ruin it.
I sighed as I stood up and I walked towards the window where I looked out. I looked at the people below and I basically sunk into the scene. The people, the view, and etc was amazing! People give me such inspiration sometimes. Including Leo.
I suddenly saw a person was blond hair in the street.
I don't know what came over me, but I jumped up and ran outside towards the street. I ran towards the person with blond hair.
"Leo!"
He turned around and I tripped. We both fell backwards and i used him as my cushion. Like old times.
"You haven't changed a bit, Naomi." He groaned as I got off him.
"Sorry. I'm just... Very excited today." I half lied. I'm excited that he's here! He laughed.
"Plus, I think I've changed a lot. With my job and all." I said as I shrugged.
"I don't believe you have changed." He said as he shook his head.
I looked at him weirdly as I accidentally put my hand on top of his to help me sit up.
We both looked at eachother and I quickly let go and I turned away from him.
"Do you want to do something exciting?" He asked.
I looked at him weirdly.
"Like what?"
