I have been hiding in my room all day. Leo hasn't gotten home yet, or so I don't think. I don't know what's come over me. I'm just...so mad. I missed him so much and I didn't even know. I didn't know until now...
I heard the familiar noise of the front door to the apartment door opening and closing.
"Naomi." Leo knocked on my door.
I jumped onto my bed and put the covers over me. I can't see him.
I heard my room door open.
"Naomi, I'm sorry." He said. I didn't say anything but rather just bit my lip so I would not possibly talk to him.
"I'm a jerk. I know I am. I just don't know what to do anymore. Nothing is good for you. You're disappointed with whatever I do." I felt a piece of my bed move. Leonardo Dicaprio is sitting on my bed.
"Naomi," I felt a piece of the bedsheets move as he tried to remove the piece that was covering my face. He uncovered my face and I stared at him with a disappointed look.
"I hate you Leo." I mumbled.
Not sure if that was true.
He laughed softly.
"I would hate me too." He said.
"Why did you have to get together with a girl so quickly after we broke up?" I asked.
"I wanted to be over you." He shrugged as he laid next to me.
"I thought if I dated another girl then I'd do exactly that." He said as he shut his eyes.
"Leo, I have something to tell you."
But when I looked at him he was asleep. He was peaceful. I got up and I put my blanket covers over him.
"Goodnight DiCaprio." I mumbled. I walked out of the room feeling a bit more peaceful.
-
I woke up on the couch with a blanket wrapped around me. Leo was leaning over me.
"Wake up already." He said. He was a little annoyed.
"I'm up." I mumbled as I stretched.
He rolled his eyes playfully and brought me a bowl of cereal.
"Thanks." I mumbled as I sat up and stared at the bowl.
"Something wrong?" Leo asked as he sat next to me.
He was giving me a smile.
"Why are you being nice?" I asked.
"I'm always nice." He shrugged as he started eating his own cereal.
That's such a lie.
"Are you going to school today?" I asked. I wasn't going. I didn't want to see Ryan or Hunter.
"Naomi, it's 3 p.m. Schools almost over."
I dropped my bowl of cereal.
"It's 3?! How long did we sleep?" I asked.
Leo shrugged.
"A while. But I'm glad we get to spend the day together Naomi." He smiled.
"Right." I said. I slowly felt myself sink into the couch.
"Naomi..." Leo mumbled. He was nervous.
"Huh?" I asked as I turned towards him.
"Would you like to go for a walk?"
-
We stared at the big intimidating building from just two years before.
"This is where I used to work." Leo mumbled as he looked at the building.
"This is was the second time we met." I whispered. We both shared a glance and then a smirk appeared on his face.
"We...we walked along here." I pointed towards the road.
"And we stopped at the train tracks." I said. I started walking along the road.
"So, Naomi, that Ryan guy. Is he nice to you?" Leo asked.
"Sure as hell nicer then you at the moment." I said.
Leo stuffed his hands inside his jacket pockets and he walked alongside me with such...confidence? No that's not it.
I sighed.
Leo's the only one who's never really looked at me with pity, and I'm thankful for that. Makes me feel like he thinks of me as an actual person that doesn't need anyone to look at me with any sort of pity.
"I remember as we talked along this street, we talked about colors of people's hearts. And you were pretty creeped out by me." I laughed. Leo laughed also but more of a 'oh my gosh I'm so sorry' laugh.
"Why the hell were you so scared anyway?" I asked.
"You could've been a killer. I'm sorry Naomi, you do have a pretty face but you could've been a killer."
"You think I'm pretty." I glanced at him.
"Naomi, I almost married you. Of course I think you're pretty." He said.
"Don't do that." I whispered.
"Do what?" He asked as he glanced at me.
"I really would have said yes." I said.
"Then why didn't you?"
"I was scared. Who wouldn't be? I mean, my mom was in town, you were gonna leave. That's a lot on a girl." I said.
"It's in the past." He stopped at the train tracks.
"I stood here." I said as I stepped ontop of the train tracks.
"And I waited. And waited. And you pushed me off over here." I stepped off the train tracks onto the other side and I laid down on the ground.
"This was the time when I knew I liked you." I said. I laughed at the memory.
"Then we left." I said as I stood up. Leo was standing next to me. He brushed off the dirt on my shirt.
"I really missed you." He mumbled as he stopped and looked at me.
"I missed you too." I said.
There was a moment of silence. Then Leo turned away from me and started walking down the road.
I followed after him.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"You'll see." He mumbled.
-
We stood in front of the now new apartment building. My apartment building was burnt at this spot... I saved Leo's life at this spot. Can you believe it? And they made it into another building!
I sighed.
"It's so not fair they didn't keep the original design." I said.
"Totally." Leo said. He looked up at the building but then he glanced at me.
"Let's go inside." He said.
"Wait no!" But he was already walking into it.
"You've gotta be kidding me." I mumbled. I walked after him and I walked into the building. It's still an apartment building and the inside is the exact same design as before.
"That's where we first met!" I pointed towards the elevator.
The elevator door started closing. Leo and I ran quickly and jumped into the elevator at the same time. The doors shut.
"Leo, I'm really s-"
But he kissed me. And he kissed me like he never had before. It was an 'I missed you kiss'.
Leo put a hand on my cheek and he pulled me closer.
The elevator doors made a familiar ding sound.
"Naomi?" I pulled away from Leo quickly.
Ryan stood there in the doorway.
"You've got to be kidding me." I mumbled.
