You walk down the school hallway getting ready for your next class, until you see the one boy you felt shy around.

Shawn Mendes.

Ever since he moved to the school, girls began to fawn over him and try to be his girlfriend. You were part of the crowd as well. You never actually talked to him, except for anything about school-related stuff. 

You see him put books into his locker and sighed at his muscular arms. He sees you and gives you a smile as you looked away, not wanting to be humiliated. You sighed and carried on to the next class. You did have a huge crush on him, and he's single so that gives you a likelier chance of ending up together with him. 

Once school was over, you saw a huge crowd surrounding Shawn's locker, along with....a girl. You go over to the crowd and watched the scene unfold.

"Camila, we've been great friends for a while now and you're such a smart, beautiful and funny person. But I feel like we should take it further so..." You hear Shawn say and pulled a rose from his back.

"...will you be my girlfriend?" You hear him say the five words you never want him to say to anyone but you. 

"YES!" Camila replies in excitement and they both share a passionate kiss. Everyone around the crowd cheered but you just went away to your locker. You began to tear up and sink down to the floor. Everything was ripped out of your heart, it felt painful for you to see the man you wanna marry ask someone else out. 

You hear footsteps and a familiar voice. You opened your eyes and saw Shawn right in front of you.

"Y/N, right? What's the matter?" He asks.
