Today was a big day for you. You were gonna have surgery on your legs so you can walk again. Lately, you felt a lot of pain when you tried to walk, and your recent check-up found out that you had a lot of blood clots.
"Ready, Y/N?" Your mom asked and you nervously smiled. You were never a fan of hospitals. After watching Grey's Anatomy and seeing all those graphic surgery clips, you started to have a little fear of hospitals.
You two drove to the hospital and checked in to a room. Your surgery won't begin till 8 in the evening and it's only 10AM. Your mom left you at the hospital as she had to report for work.
Suddenly, a rather hot-looking male nurse came into your room which made adrenaline rush through your body.
"Hello, Y/N. I'm gonna be looking after you until your surgery tonight. My name's Shawn Mendes." He says and smiles widely, his perfect set of teeth showing.
"O-Oh, yeah um c-could you just stay here with me until 8?" You ask and he shook his head no.
"Sorry, honey. I've got other things to take care of during the day. But I can stay with you for an hour." He compromises and you nodded.
He takes a seat next to you and began to chat about his life at the hospital, about your surgery and whether he as a girlfriend or not. He doesn't, thank goodness.
"You're too hot for a nurse. I bet other nurses are after you.." You say and nudged his arm a little. He smiles and looks down.
"They all have boyfriends. And I really don't feel like I wanna be in a relationship right now." He confesses and you frown a little.
"Come on, honey. Let's get your medicine taken." He says and grabs a spoon and pours the syrup.
"Open wide!" He exclaims and feeds you the medicine. You smile at the fact that he's being cute, and hoped that your surgery would be reschedule to tomorrow so you can spend more time with Shawn.
--8:00--
It was time for your surgery, Shawn kept holding your hand on your way to the operating room. Once there, he kissed your forehead and gave you thumbs up. Soon after, the surgery began.

You woke up feeling dizzy, and Shawn was sitting right next to your bed.
"Okay, Y/N. Your mom is coming to pick you up in 30 minutes. I'll get your stuff ready.." He says and you cut him off.
"Shawn, will you marry me?" You blurted out all of a sudden and he gives you this look:

"Oh um, sorry. You probably think I'm creepy." You admit, but he smirks.
"I'd love to marry you, but I kinda want to take things slow first...if you know what I mean." He winks and holds your hand.
"Y/N, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks and you shouted "Yes!"
He leans in to kiss you and sparks inside you ignited.
