You sadly heard the news that you were moving to New Zealand permanently tomorrow, which means leaving your home of country of Canada behind. Not just that, you were also leaving your friends you've made and you'll miss them all so much. But the one you'll miss the most was your boyfriend Shawn Mendes. You two have been together strong for two years. You've already started packing over a week ago at your parents' soon-to-be former home but Shawn doesn't know that you're leaving Canada forever.

He comes in the room with a huge smile on his face.

"Hey honey!!" He enthusiastically says and kisses your cheek.

"Hey, baby..." You respond, not sounding your usual tone. His eyebrows furrowed.

"Is something wrong?" He says, sounding a little more serious this time and you two sit down on the bed.

"S-Shawn, I'm moving away permanently..." You began to tear up and his eyes started to look pained as well.

"W-What? Y/N, where?" He holds your hand and his voice became a little shaky.

"New Zealand...it's way down south from here." You tell him and his eyes became glossy. 

"Y/N, a-are you serious? Why?" He sniffled but you can see the tears about to fall off his eyes.

"Parents' work. They've been offered a job permanently and accepted. I leave tomorrow afternoon." You replied and he began to whimper.

"Aww, baby..." You cooed and pulled him towards you for a hug. He nuzzles his face into your shoulder and you hear soft sobs escape his mouth. 

"I'll miss you so much Y/N, I won't forget you. These two years are one of the best I've ever experienced and I'm not gonna let it all fade just because you're moving." He sniffled again and you feel more of his tears land on your shirt.

"I-I'll miss you too, Shawn. I love you so much." You responded and cried with him. 

"W-Well, gotta continue packing, I don't wanna leave, and I don't wanna lose you..." You began, but he cut you off by holding your hand.

"Y/N, we can get through this. I know that long-distance relationships mostly end badly, but you're too precious for me to choose someone else. I love you...and only you." He confesses and hugs you again.

"Don't choose someone else. I'd do anything to be your boyfriend till the day we get married. I want us to last forever! Please, Y/N that's all I want for us to happen. I know that we'll see each other again, and we'll continue wherever we left off. " He holds your hand tightly and you were shocked at his little speech.

"I love you too, Shawn! I promise I won't cheat on you." You say and hug back. Afterwards, you continued to pack your stuff.

--THE NEXT DAY--

You just finished check-in for your flight to Auckland, and Shawn can't go anywhere past security checks. Your flight boards in an hour, and you still have to walk to the gate.

This was the final goodbye to Shawn, you'll never know when you two will finally re-unite and be in each other's arms again. 

He stand in front of you, eyes tearing up, lip about to quiver and soft sobs being heard. He pulls you into his chest probably for the very last time. 

"I'll miss you so much, Y/N. Keep in touch, please. I wanna hear your voice that always makes me smile." He sniffled onto your shoulder.

"I'll miss you too, babe. Yes, I'll call you as soon as I land. I'll never forget all the fun memories we've made. I promise you Shawn, we'll re-unite again one day. Never forget me." You spoke back sadly.

You two share one final kiss and afterwards, you walked into the departures hall. 

45 minutes later, you were up in the air, flying closer to New Zealand but away from Canada and away from your boyfriend, Shawn.
